An album of photographs and postcards of Istanbul (referred to as Stamboul or Constantinople throughout). Most of the images include type-written captions. The album comes from the estate of one Mr. Abramson, a former Consul General of the United States to Canada, and it is possible that he is the creator. A second album of Istanbul photos, also from Abramson's estate, is dated 1928, and is believed to be from the same trip (see UL_1293/1734 #4). The album, photos, and captions are all in good shape.

There are images from the around the city, from the interior of what is believed to be the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, and one, incongruously, of the Great Wall of China. Some of the images come with type-written captions or information clipped from newspapers or pamphlets. The album and most of the photos are in good condition. Some of the typed captions in the album appear to be from a published guide to Constantinople.
