Biographical history
Born in 1913, Constance Edith Louise Warburton was one of only five graduates of the Kelowna General Hospital in 1935. She nursed in Kelowna until she joined the Army Medical Corps in 1943 and served in the UK and Continental Europe as a nursing sister. After marrying Harry Warburton in 1950, she nursed in Regina, Calgary and Victoria, cities where her husband worked with CPR Hotels. When he died in 1964 she returned to work in the operating room of the Kelowna General Hospital until her retirement in 1978. She remained active in her retirement, both with nursing activities and assisting friends who needed help with transportation and shopping, until her death in 2003.
