W. Neale Turner was an English mechanical engineer who became the managing director of the Fraser River Gold Dredging Company in 1903. The Company, which had formed in 1902, abandoned its operations in 1906.

The fonds consists of photograph albums depicting Turner's activities as managing director of the Fraser River Gold Dredging Company, including scenes of equipment, placer mining sites, and aspects of life in Lytton, including a native funeral procession.
