Commerce and Business Administration series. The latter series includes materials relating to the history he prepared for the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration in 1976.

The collection consists of materials gathered by Karl Ruppenthal as course aids for subjects taught mainly at Stanford University as part of the Transportation Management Program. The bulk of the collection consists of copies of transportation industry publications, published regulatory decisions and reports and related documents, and transcripts of addresses and speeches by other individuals, along with related correspondence and newspaper and magazine clippings. There are no papers in the collection generated by Ruppenthal himself, apart from copies of letters requesting materials from corporations and regulatory bodies, and some written notes. Fonds reflect Jean Rands’s interest and activism in feminist labour organizing in western Canada and her speaking and writing around these issues, and also contains records relating to her family and personal connections. The fonds primarily consists of labour union meeting agendas and minutes, union leaflets and flyers, newspaper clippings, legal documents, correspondence, and drafts of speeches and articles. Personal records include diaries, personal correspondence, and a few photographs.

The fonds consists of a single implied series of sound captures relating to broadcasts, which is comprised of one reel-to-reel tape recording. The recording captures W.A.C. Bennett’s funeral on February 27, 1979 in Kelowna, B.C. Bennett was the Premier of British Columbia from 1952-1972.

Fonds consists of 10 volumes of purchase requisitions from 1954 to 1958, and a central office correspondence series from 1955 to 1965. The correspondence is informally arranged within a classification system that was inconsistently applied and developed until 1964. Two reference sheets for the subject classification system remain for 1956 and 1963 and are included in the first file for each of those two years. Many of the headings reflect the categories used by the Department of Agronomy. Intermingled with the files of the division are some of the faculty papers of V.C. Brink, the chair of the division. In 1964, the entire system appears to have broken down. From 1964 to 1970 all the division correspondence files were stored in unlabelled file folders the vast majority of which exhibited no internal coherence. Because of the presence of Brink's faculty papers in the files, and because of the absence of the division's classification system, the records from 1964 to 1970 have been arranged and described with Brink's personal papers. For a complete understanding of the functions and activities of the division, these records must also be consulted.

The records document the evolution of the School of Architecture, its activities and programmes, and its relations with other architectural institutions and professional bodies. The fonds contains records pertinent to Lock Tin Lee’s functions as a KMT member, a public school educator, his personal life, and his overall involvement in organizations and affairs concerning the overseas Chinese. Lee’s records offer insight into the political aspirations of the Kuomintang amidst the backdrop of the Second Sino-Japanese War, the Cold War, the Chinese Civil War, and beyond; the public education scene for Chinese Canadians in British Columbia; and the lived experiences of the overseas Chinese in 20th century Canada.

Records predominantly range from Lee’s earlier years in China in the 1920s until his death in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1980. Records include reports, correspondence, notebooks, receipts and invoices, maps, books and bound material, newspapers, greeting cards, song sheets, business cards, badges and memorabilia, stamps and plaques, photographs, poems, flag textiles, and more. Many of these records were created in British Columbia, Canada, but others were generated in the process of Lee’s travels to other countries (predominantly Taiwan) or were received by Lee from other individuals and organizations based outside of British Columbia or Canada. Some records were generated or received by Lee’s family members.

The collection consists primarily of copies, and a small number of photographs, of cartoons commenting on legal, political, social and other matters impacting the relationship between Indigenous people and the settler state of Canada. The collection also includes some other graphical depictions of Indigenous people in settler Canadian media, such as product advertisements, tourism marketing, and depictions of Indigenous people in historical artworks and photographs.

The images were collated from a large number of publications; these are primarily Canadian publications, as well as some American, British, and Indigenous-authored publications. A list of Indigenous sources consulted by the collector is available for researcher reference.

Fonds consists of textual and graphic material related to the activities of the Fuller siblings as traveling musicians, particularly during their American tour from 1913 to 1917, including correspondence, financial documents such as contracts and receipts, and photographs and drawings from their tours. Fonds also includes printed material such as programs and sheet music which the Fuller family had printed and sold.

Fonds illustrates Frank Charnley's career and interests as a mathematician, sheep rancher, beekeeper and writer, as well as records relating to his family, predominately from his retirement years. Photographs showcase Charnley at his Barnston Island home, presumably in the 1960s. The papers reflect trade relations between Canada and Germany as well as between Canada and other countries, with some reference to related

MacDonnell (regarding the Clandonald colony of Scottish immigrants in Alberta) and the British Columbia Coast Steamship Service. Includes documents, ephemera and artifacts of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, including records of travelers on CPR rail and steamships.

The fonds consists of a typed transcript of Ainsworth's autobiography written between 1877 and 1892.

The fonds consists of minutes, membership lists, financial records, correspondence and printed material generated by the Archaeological Society of British Columbia between 1966 and 1985. The fonds also includes a run of the Society's newsletter The Midden and a scrapbook illustrating the activities of the organization from 1966 to 1972.

Collection consists of photographs collected by the Rare Books and Special Collections divisions throughout its operation. Subjects predominantly include British Columbia people, places and events, but also includes photographs taken throughout the Pacific Northwest, across Canada and in some cases internationally.

Fonds consists of research compiled by art historian and curator Patricia Ainslie. The research relates to both her published writing and her curatorial work at the Glenbow museum in Calgary, AB. Materials include research notes; photocopies of articles and images; correspondence with artists, other curators, and archival institutions; planning documents and lists; photographs of artists and artwork; interviews on audio cassette, DVD, and as transcripts; manuscripts for some of her published work; and exhibition pamphlets.

Many of the records in this fonds were used in relation to Burch’s autobiography, and therefore pertain to his childhood, education, navy service, and largely to his career as a forester. These records include genealogical research materials, photographs, educational certificates, navy service records, and textual documentation of his career and interests in forestry. It also reflects other projects undertaken by Burch, such as the Working Forest publication, a history of South Vancouver Island, as well as papers, research, correspondence, and speeches. Fonds consists of legal documents, reports, publications, speeches, newspaper clippings and other material related to Evans’ labour activities, including the On-to-Ottawa Trek and resulting Regina Riot Commission, and the defence of Trek members arrested in the Regina Riot. There is also material related to the Canadian Labour Defence League, the Communist Party of Canada, and material in support of the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War.

The majority of the collection relates to mining in the Sandon, B.C. community and surrounding areas. Documents relating to mining claims and claim disputes are prevalent. Other records include financial books and receipts, business and personal correspondence, newspaper clippings, other legal records and court rulings, leases, payroll records, numerous receipts and invoices and various corporate documents.
Each of Harris’ businesses, Hotel Reco, Reco Mining and Milling Company, Sandon Water Works and Light Company, Star Mining and Milling Company, Slocan Power Company, and Wonderful Mines are represented in this collection. In addition there are records from the British Columbia Mining Association and the Silver-Lead Miners Association of British Columbia.

The W.B. Bailey series and the Clarence Cunningham series are relatively small. The Cunningham records include only financial records ca. 1916 to 1919, and newspaper clippings from 1939. The Bailey records are a grouping of telegrams from 1901 to 1902 with a complete inventory of each supplied by Mr. Barlee.

The fonds consists of material relating to the work and collections of Robert Reid. It includes a collection of fine printwork from a variety of presses, examples of printed material at various stages in the publication process, and research and reference material relating to design and printing.

Also included in the fonds are biographical material, correspondence to and from Reid, financial records, speeches, notes, clippings, and photographs. The content of this material relates to both the personal and professional life of Reid and spans from the the 1930s to the 2000s.

Fonds consists primarily of correspondence, published materials, and other documentation related to Potrebenko's writing career and publications. Also included are materials she accumulated in relation to her involvement with local labour activism.

The fonds contains records related to the activities of Douglas Mulhall in his capacity as member of Greenpeace Canada and as a member of the Greenpeace International, Stichting Greenpeace Council between 1979 and 1986. Records consists of extensive correspondences, minutes of the meetings and annual reports from various committees and councils on which Mulhall served, financial reports and other records related to the fiscal management of the Stiching Greenpeace Council and the Greenpeace’s national offices, as well as newspaper clippings, annotated journal publications, and photographs, which document Greenpeace’s administrative activities as well as its various environmental campaigns.

This fonds consists of 12 series; meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, welfare funds, videos, regulations and legislation, related organizations, general business records, land referrals, herring (roe), financial, First Nations, and salmon. Each of the series relates to the F.V.O.A.'s work with fishing and water concerns. The same issues defined within each of these series are also documented through the newspaper clippings. The minutes span over 40 years, beginning in 1938, and include general, committee, director's and membership meetings. The fonds also includes copies of legislation and regulations relating to various fishing and water related concerns, such as ports and harbours, maritime codes, vessel construction, shipping, and research. The F.V.O.A.'s ongoing cooperative work with relevant outside groups is documented through numerous drafts, proposals, agreements, reports, and correspondence. The videos are of the Skeena River Steelhead, Salmon, the Sportfish Observer Program and First Nations fishing rights. There is a large amount of land referral material (the application for use of Crown land) including several maps. With reference directly to fish; there is information on herring (roe) related issues, and a significant amount of documents covering Salmon. A vast portion of the Salmon series deals with Canadian-U.S. negotiations regarding poaching, water boundaries, salmon shares, runs and catches. The fonds provides overall insight into the workings of the F.V.O.A.
