The fonds consists of personal and professional materials created and collected by Sybren de Jong. The fonds is divided into five series:

Fonds consists of audiovisual material created or compiled during production of the film. It consists largely of interviews with Suzuki, members of his family and associates, filmed presentations by Suzuki, video clips from the CBC program, "The Nature of Things", and film of Suzuki and family members in various locations in British Columbia, Ontario and elsewhere. There are also stock shots and newscast clips related to environmental issues, and a copy of Suzuki’s debate with Philippe Rushton on the question of race and genetics.
The content of this fonds is housed on several different video and audio formats: Betacam SP, Hi-8, VHS, U-Matic tape (¾ in.), reel audio tape (¼ in.), audiocassette tape and DAT audio tape. Much of this audio and video material was used in the production of the final "cut" of the documentary, and content is represented across several of these formats, with audio content found in both audio and video formats. The larger volume of the content was recorded in the field (especially on Hi-8 and Betacam SP tape) and subsequently copied to VHS tape for editing. Detailed investigation of the VHS tapes against the Hi-8 and Betacam SP tapes will reveal whether the entire content of the latter has been copied to the former in all instances.
The original order of the content was preserved by format and the finding aid is organised on this principle. In addition, a second "intellectual" ordering of the content is provided as an appendix to the file listing: in that document the set of time-coded VHS tapes that were used for editing purposes have been utilised as the central feature of the fonds. It is hoped that this will permit researchers to see relationships that exist between the several formats.
The textual records were turned over to the University Archives by Peter Davis in 2015.

Collection consists primarily of event flyers, programmes and calendars published to promote various performing arts productions at UBC. Also included are companion guides for some theatre productions. Materials are arranged in three categories: Theatre Productions, Musical Productions, and Performing Arts – General. Within each category the materials are organized by department, organization, or production series.

Throughout his education and political careers, the records were generated by William Bruneau and relate both to personal and professional interests.

Fonds consists of records documenting Stephen Sheppard’s professional and academic activities while he was at UBC. Fonds consists of newspaper clippings about Homecoming 1961, and programmes documenting 1965 graduating class events and activities.

The fonds consists of seven incoming letters from Jane Rule to Ann Micou dating from 2003 to 2007. The last letter is dated October 8, 2007, and was written a little over a month before Jane Rule’s death. The fonds also includes four CD’s featuring Jane Rule reading a selection of her short stories including “House,” “A Chair for George,” “Seaweed & Song,” “You Cannot Judge a Pumpkin by the Smile Upon His Face,” “A Migrant’s Christmas,” “If There is No Gate,” “Home Movie,” “Blessed are the Dead,” and “Dulce.” Apparently, the recordings were produced in a small number for distribution to family and friends. The fonds also includes a copy of a videotape entitled Fiction and Other Truths: A Film About Jane Rule (Eds. Lynne Fernie, Aerlyn Weissman).

Fonds consists of a “transit book” – a bound notebook used by Hal Norman for notes and measurements taken during his Surveying course in 1923 – and three maps of UBC’s Fairview and Point Grey campuses, hand-drawn in 1923 and plotted in 1976.

Fonds consists of documentation of Hans Ronimois’ personal and professional life. Included is documentation of his first wife’s grave (in Swedish), his Canadian citizenship certificate dated 1961, CVs, publication lists, lecture notes, newspaper clippings, and a typescript copy of the first chapter of a report written by Ronimois titled Soviet Economic Organization (1951).

Fonds consists of materials in various media created or acquired by Joe Schlesinger in the course of his professional career, along with materials documenting or commemorating the Kindertransport programme, and a few items of a more personal nature. The fonds reflects Mary Bishop’s interests in the social and political issues surrounding family planning, access to birth control, and population planning, primarily in Canada, as well as in south Asia and globally. She accumulated a large number of subject files to support her research in these areas on topics including human sexuality; abortion; fertility; welfare of children and families; and the influence of organized religion and Eugenics movements on birth control access. The fonds also reflects Bishop’s dedication to voluntary service with local, national, and international organizations focused on family and population planning. A small number of personal records are also included.

Bishop’s records are arranged into three series: population and family planning research; volunteer involvement; and personal files. The fonds consists primarily of newspaper clippings and research notes on topics of interest to Bishop; government and NGO reports and publications on population policy and family planning issues; pamphlets and flyers; and drafts of articles and speeches authored by Bishop. The fonds also includes recordings and transcripts of a series of interviews conducted by Bishop in the late 1970s with individuals relevant to the history of the birth control movement in Canada, including physicians, activists, religious leaders, couples, and individual women. The fonds consists of records created or received by the committees and individuals working for the Labour History Project under the Centennial Commission and Centennial Labour Committee. Fonds includes minutes, agendas, correspondence, publications, posters and other advertisements for events and meetings, reports, newspaper clippings, typescripts and manuscripts, including a graduate thesis on union history. All type- and manuscripts are related to the history of various unions in Canada and British Columbia.

The latter was formed in the early 1960s as a standing committee that contributed to the development of the National Building Code of Canada.

Fonds consists of assorted materials relating to Emily Carr, and Ruth Humphrey's friendship with her. They include forty-seven letters from Carr, dating from the period 1937-1944 when Humphrey was travelling. The fonds also includes Humphrey's own transcripts and notes on the Carr correspondence; manuscripts written by Carr; copies of works by other authors on Carr; correspondence regarding the publication of the Carr correspondence in the University of Toronto Quarterly; and other Carr memorabilia collected by Humphrey.
