The fonds consists of correspondence, notices, minutes, and clippings recording the dispute between the Automotive Transport Labour Relations Association and the Teamster's Union Local 31 Vancouver (1970-1971) which precipitated the passage of Bill 33. The fonds also reflects the history of Carson Truck Lines and motor transport on the Cariboo Road and Fraser Canyon.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the life and literary career of Carol Coates, as well as that of her brother William H. Coates (1899-1976). It includes correspondence, designs, printed material and clippings. It also contains the typescript of tributes to W.H. Coates during memorial services in 1976 as well as the typescript of Carol Coates' "Invitation to Mood" (1974-1975). Accrual consists draft poems, both typed and handwritten, and handwritten school notes from a class Coates attended at UBC.

The fonds consists of administrative records, correspondence, publications, newspaper clippings, and educational and promotional materials related to the operations of the Canadians for Democracy in Chile (C.D.C.) and its relationships with various domestic (Canadian) and international organizations. Records reflect the C.D.C.’s functions as a public information resource and activist organization and its close working relationship with the Vancouver Chile Association and various labour organizations. C.D.C. also regularly corresponded with provincial and federal Canadian government offices concerning Canada’s relationship with Chile, particularly its economic relationship. Contents include: posters, leaflets, and other promotional materials for events, conference, and boycotts; published materials (including editions of Chile News, newsletters, and bound copies of conference and UN proceedings); newspaper clippings about activism, Chilean refugees in Canada, and conditions in Chile; correspondence; administrative records; and event photographs.

Collection consists of primary resources and related materials created and used by Canadian women composers. Each series is dedicated to one of the participating composers, which currently consists of Deborah Carruthers, Dorothy Chang, Zosha Di Castri, Lori Freedman, Barbara Monk Feldman, Ana Sokolović, Chiyoko Szlavnics, and Elizabeth Raum. Materials include a variety of records, such as original scores, manuscripts, working drafts, photographs, prints, published articles, correspondence, and materials used as inspiration in the artists' work. Going forward, the collection is expected to evolve and incorporate additional Canadian women composers.

The Bush Family collection consists of records and objects gathered by various family members on specific holidays or during special occasions. George and Pearl Bush contributed memorabilia related to their family’s settlement in Vancouver, their vacations in Europe and the United States, the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, the city of Vancouver, the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and the country of Canada. Some records and objects commemorating the Dominion of Canada and the Canadian Pacific Railway Company feature racist depictions of Indigenous peoples. Items originating with George and Pearl date from the early to mid-twentieth century.

Patrick Bush contributed memorabilia related to his studies at the University of British Columbia, particularly his graduation and his membership in the Sigma Epsilon chapter of the Zeta Psi fraternity. Records originating with Patrick Bush date from the mid to late 1950s.

Records are arranged by subject in files. For example, all memorabilia related to the Canadian Pacific Railway Company is aggregated, as are records of Patrick Bush’s university attendance. Included are guidelines for society incorporation, surveys given to Federation members to ascertain their opinions about becoming a non-profit organization and literature on non-profit societies. Further material transferred in 2014 from the City of Vancouver Archives consists of surveys sent to various women's organizations asking their views on feminism, in preparation for the "Day of Feminism."

The collection consists of circulars, memoranda, brochures, and related materials pertaining to consumer cooperatives in British Columbia, in particular, the Mountain Equipment Co-operative and the Agora Co-operative Food Association. Also included are the "Fed-Up Newsletter" (1974-1976) and "The Catalyst" (1976-1984).
