The material begins early in 1984 and continues through to the September "Day of Concern." Included are handwritten minutes of the meetings, printed material, correspondence, clippings, memorabilia, posters and copies of addresses given at the Robson Square Media Centre.

The fonds also contains material relating to Bullocks work as a translator and includes a variety of genres translated into English from the original French, German, or Italian. The correspondence from 1935 illustrates the business life of a professional writer; it also contains a wealth of personal correspondence that helps solidify Bullock's stature as a writer both locally and internationally. Impressive figures such as Marcel Bealu, Max Frisch, and Joy Kogawa are intermingled with less well-known artists, friends, and family in the correspondence, and provide valuable commentary, over nearly 70 years, into the creative path chosen by Bullock.

They document the planning and construction of the University of British Columbia buildings designed and overseen by the architectural firm. Also, They document the architectural firm's activities on buildings in Vancouver, the province of British Columbia and elsewhere. Some of the files represent unsuccessful bids on jobs. There are original, blueprint and ozalid architectural drawings in this collection. The drawings of University buildings consist mainly of original drawings and blueprints. The drawings of buildings in Vancouver and elsewhere are few in number and are mostly ozalid reproductions.

The fonds reflects his research interests, which included studies of conifers, forest ecology and tree genetics, particularly of the Douglas fir; to a limited extent, his personal life is also documented. The fonds also includes approximately 3,600 photographic negatives and prints (most black and white, some in colour), 1,200 lantern slides, and some transparencies. The photographs are mainly microscopic images of plants and trees in British Columbia, Mexico, Cuba, Florida and South Africa in the early part of the twentieth century. There is also a photograph album accompanying Hutchinson's report Grazing Lands in British Columbia. Finally, there are maps, charts, and diagrams, which are listed and stored separately.

The Commission received 194 briefs from a wide range of interested societies, firms, professional associations, local governments, labour groups, and other organizations, as well as individuals. The fonds also includes briefs from both the Forest Policy Advisory Committee (1977) which invited submissions reacting to Pearse's final report and from the Select Standing Committee on Forestry and Fisheries (1973). There is also a small collection of speeches by others pertaining to the forest industry (1955-1971).

The records were organized according to several filing schemes, which were alphabetical, and constantly changing. Lack of consistency in the arrangement of the records impeded access. The archivist grouped the files into fifteen identifiable series. The original file titles have been retained.

The fonds consists mainly of records generated by the Alumni Association in the course of its programs and activities and by its branches and divisions. The records are in the form of correspondence, reports, minutes of meetings, manuscripts for The Chronicle, and some published materials. Also included in the fonds are materials of historical interest collected by Frances Tucker in the course of her research for a history of the Association published for its fiftieth anniversary in 1966; these consist of written notes, clippings and other published materials, scrapbooks, photographs, correspondence, the first draft of her project, and index cards. Finally, the records of Harry Franklin, Executive Director from 1972 to 1979, are included; the files contain some Association records as well as Franklin's.
