Also included are annotated copies of Adaskin's two autobiographies: A Fiddler's World (published in 1977), and A Fiddler's Choice (1982). The fonds consists of records chronicling various facets of Howard's long career in mining-related activities. It includes material from his student days, his years at Eldorado Gold Mines, and his years as a professor at the University of British Columbia. The fonds includes photographs reflecting the development of mining equipment and technology. In particular, the numerous photographs from Howard's Eldorado days (1942-1946) depict not only mining operations but also capture aspects of social life in Port Radium, a remote community near the Arctic Circle.

This fonds is arranged into three series that track Symonds' various roles as an urban planning professional. The Urban Education/Teacher in the City series contains records created or received by Symonds while she served in the Continuing Education department at UBC, including her seminal effort to publish The Teacher and the City. The second series, Commissions and Committee Work, details Symonds' service on the Vancouver City Planning Commission and other planning-related committees she chaired or participated in for both the local B.C. context and internationally. The final series, Planning Publications, Speeches, and Writings, focuses on writings or pieces created by Symonds or publications she set aside for her purposes. These date from the early beginnings of her urban planning career in the 1950s to well after her retirement in 1983. The records included in the fonds are correspondence, meeting minutes, photographs, journal articles, newspaper clippings, brochures, memoranda, reports and invitations.

Records related to development projects were kept in their original order in the Project Files and Development series. However, other documents had no discernible order and were arranged into the other series presented.

The collection consists of student records and correspondence between E.H. Morrow and Fred Sasaki, Oyama Kazuhiko, David Shiozake, Peter Yamada and George Yamashita (1940-1950). The correspondence files provide an account of the treatment accorded Japanese-Canadians in the 1940s. There is also a copy of an article from Viewpoints inspired by the information in the files, as well as some follow-up correspondence with the former students.

The fonds consists of Coulthard's incoming family and general correspondence, correspondence from noted English composer Elizabeth Poston, financial records, biographical information, printed material and clippings documenting her involvement in the Canadian and International music communities as an advocate, educator and composer. Also included are original manuscripts of Coulthard's compositions and published and unpublished sound recordings of her work performances. The fonds also contain scrapbooks assembled by Coulthard's mother, Jean Robinson Coulthard, between 1898 and 1929, family photographs, and a photograph album compiled by her father, Dr. Walter Coulthard, depicting the Rossland area (ca. 1902).
Fonds are arranged into two sous-fonds: Jean Coulthard sous-fonds and Coulthard family sous-fonds.
