Files contains writs of summons, subpoenas, orders, writs of fieri facias, default summonses, etc. against Charles Spring issued between 1892 and 1894 for non-payment of monies owned. The papers originate from the Supreme Court of B.C., Exchequer Court of B.C. Admiralty District, County Court of Victoria, Provincial Police Court, etc. Funds were primarily owed to tradesmen for goods and services rendered for Spring's sealing vessels, as well as to crew members for unpaid wages. The file also contains copies of police charges brought against Charles Spring by sealers for non-payment of wages in 1892, a list of court judgments against Spring, and related notes and documents.

File contains documents relating to the schooner "Henrietta." Documents include accounts and expense sheets, including an accounting of expenses to outfit the vessel, lists of improvements and repairs, and payments to crew; promissory notes / receipts for advances to the crew.

The file contains three copies of a 1914 petition prepared by Spring and brought forth by owners and masters of sealing vessels during the 1892 season. The petition requests an enlargement of the scope of the Pelagic Sealing Commission to include their claims for compensation. One of the copies is signed and two are unsigned. The petition is addressed to the House of Commons of Canada.

File contains typed and handwritten draft copies of the declaration of Charles Spring, with index. Supporting exhibits provide an accounting of monetary losses during the 1892-1893 sealing season.

File contains the daily log book for the sloop "Nymphe," of which Spring was master. Log covers a sea lion hunting trip from April 23, 1913 through October 4, 1913. The file also contains the Commissioner of Fisheries Report for 1913 in which Charles F. Newcombe and William A. Newcombe summarize the same trip in a report on sea lions on the coast of British Columbia.

File contains accountings of losses and damages sustained by Charles Spring, W. Walker, owner of the S.S. "Mischief," and H. Paxton, owner of the schooner "Wanderer."

File contains handwritten copies of the oath sworn by those giving evidence to Pelagic Sealing Commission in English, Nootka, and Chinook Jargon, as well as a note regarding the meaning of the word "Nootka."

File consists primarily of correspondence between Spring and Captain Cereno Jones Kelley that references exchanges of statements, information, and figures relating to claims for vessels "Kate" and "Favourite." The file also includes a copy of Kelley's letter to F.B. Marvin & Co. upon the seizure of the steamer "Coquitlam," and a document regarding the "Modus Vivendi" on C.J. Kelley & Co. stationery in an unknown hand.

Agreements are between the Board of Governors of Notre Dame University of Nelson and AUCE Local 3, dated November 14, 1974 and September 29, 1975. File also includes proposed classifications and salary grade, and bulletin regarding defunding of Notre Dame University.

An album of photographs taken by an English visitor mostly of various places and views throughout Vancouver, plus a few of Niagara Falls. The album has been disassembled and is housed in a box. There are 67 original albumen prints in plastic sleeves, with silver gelatin copies and their negatives attached to each one. There are also seven modern reproductions.

An album of predominantly landscape photographs from throughout British Columbia, as well as a few in Vancouver, including some of ships in the harbour. In the back after a number of blank pages are also some family snapshots. Many of the photos are captioned in fading pencil. The album may have belonged to a member of Kathleen Murray's family.

A family album that comes from the estate of one Mr. Abramson, a former Consul General of the United States to Canada. The photos are from throughout British Columbia and California, in Kelowna in particular. Most of the images are captioned, but many are too faded to be fully legible. There is some significant damage to the album and some of the photographs. One negative is also tucked into the album.

A personal photo album kept by Clara and/or Kitty Wilson of Vancouver. Mainly portraits of the two sisters and their friends and family, plus some shots in and around Vancouver and British Columbia, including photographs of the Vancouver Pier 'D' Fire of 1938. Very few of the images are captioned. There are also a couple of postcards, and at least one negative included. The album and photographs are in great shape. It is a pre-printed album made by Kodak, though the original housing mechanisms appear to be missing and the photos are glued to the page. Some pages are blank, but it does not appear that photos have been removed; though three sheets have been cut out from the back.

There are also some of farming and logging, and a few of different cities and locales throughout British Columbia. Some of the photos are captioned, but none are dated. The album is secured with a metal clasp and is in quite good condition, as are the photographs.

A photo album from a British Columbian woman known only as K.B.S. Predominantly family snapshots, as well as photos of travels throughout British Columbia, including Salt Spring Island, Shawnigan Lake, and Victoria. The cover of the leather album is adorned with an image of an Aboriginal chief and a simple landscape. Photos and album are still in good condition. The first large number of images are captioned, but towards the end most are not.
