Series consists of the text of speeches given by Harry Logan and notes, legal documents, and scrapbooks.
The fonds consists mainly of records generated by the Alumni Association in the course of its programs and activities and by its branches and divisions. The records are in the form of correspondence, reports, minutes of meetings, manuscripts for The Chronicle, and some published materials. Also included in the fonds are materials of historical interest collected by Frances Tucker in the course of her research for a history of the Association published for its fiftieth anniversary in 1966; these consist of written notes, clippings and other published materials, scrapbooks, photographs, correspondence, the first draft of her project, and index cards. Finally, the records of Harry Franklin, Executive Director from 1972 to 1979, are included; the files contain some Association records as well as Franklin's. Records stored in boxes 1-20 date from 1911 to 1966, and the rest date from 1955 to 1992. Because of the long time period between the accessions of these two bodies of records, and their different organization, they have not been physically integrated. Wherever possible, their original order has been maintained or restored. Series consists of maps, plans and charts relating to Buck's interests in planning the UBC campus, Vancouver, and other cities between 1911 and 1950. Their organization is by subject, following the arrangement of Buck's other papers.

The fonds consists of correspondence, subject files and pamphlets arising from Buck's various interests (1920-1950). Buck organized most of his papers into subject files relating to his activities and arranged them in alphabetical order. The files, in many instances, contain correspondence, reports and memos. The fonds also includes maps, plans, and posters, as well as photographs.

Alumni Association History Files series

Series consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings, drafts, clippings, notes, reports, scrapbooks, and programs relating to historical research carried out by members of the Alumni Association. Also included are items of a general historical nature acquired by the Association from its members. The series consists of photographs, a photograph album, negatives, an audiotape recording, "Songs of UBC," two videotapes, and several UBC commemorative pins and buttons. The series contains four subseries: Miscellaneous Historical Materials, Frances Tucker's Research Files, Muriel Clark's Memorabilia, and Musical Society Heritage Committee subseries.
Karl Terzaghi Research Collection
Gathered by a former student and colleague, Charles F. Ripley, this research collection includes three series relating to Terzaghi including; biographical materials, publications and professional reports. The reports series includes information about the British Columbia projects with which Terzaghi was involved. The research collection also includes copies of publications by Ralph B. Peck and J.D. Mollard.
The fonds consists of materials created or collected by Osborne that relate primarily to his work with the various local, provincial, national and international sports and athletic organizations throughout his career.

The records have been retained by their order of acquisition by the Archives.

Thompson, Berwick, Pratt & Partners fonds
The fonds comprises the business records of Sharp & Thompson and later Thompson, Berwick, Pratt & Partners, dating from 1912 to 1974. The records consist of signed contracts, specifications, minutes, correspondence, quotations, financial statements, reports, signed Forms of Tender, memoranda, photographs and architectural drawings. They document the planning and construction of the University of British Columbia buildings designed and overseen by the architectural firm. Also, They document the architectural firm's activities on buildings in Vancouver, the province of British Columbia and elsewhere. Some of the files represent unsuccessful bids on jobs. There are original, blueprint and ozalid architectural drawings in this collection. The drawings of University buildings consist mainly of original drawings and blueprints. The drawings of buildings in Vancouver and elsewhere are few in number and are mostly ozalid reproductions.

The series consists of files about buildings the firm built or altered in Vancouver, elsewhere in British Columbia, and outside the province. Some of the files deal with contracts that the firm did not win. The records include original architectural drawings; photographs; and related correspondence, reports, journals, minutes of committee meetings, forms of tender, quotations, agreements, specifications, certificates of insurance, and hardware schedules. The records are arranged into sub-series based on the project files and grouped under subject headings chosen by the architectural firm: Communication, Transportation & Public Utilities; Religious and Funerary; Exhibitions & Spectacles; Residences; Professional; Mercantile; Social & Recreational; Schools; Administrative & Financial; Universities - Canada (excepting the University of British Columbia); Community & Regional; Hotels & Cafes; Government; Industrial. This original order of categorization has been maintained. Some files on projects can be found under two categories, particularly Social & Recreational and Community & Regional. The projects are arranged alphabetically and then in chronological order within these subject headings. For some projects, Thompson, Berwick and Pratt created a publicity file, which has been put at the beginning of the files on the particular projects.

Fonds consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence, reports, printed material, and publications pertaining to Watson's professional activities and affiliations. Fonds includes materials pertaining to the Engineering Science Leads Committee of the B.C. Agricultural Sciences Co-ordinating Committee (BCSCC) on which Watson sat for the period 1967-1978. Composed of representatives of the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture Canada, and the UBC Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the Committee advised the Minister of Agriculture and allotted research funds for research projects within the province.

In addition, the fonds includes materials relating to the election and appointment of individuals to the Senate. Series consists of a selection of photographs removed from six photo albums from 1912-1937 and 1977. The photographs mainly document glacier formations in B.C., the Yukon, and various fieldwork projects from volcanic activity to Mammoth Skull in Hudson Hope, B.C. The photographs were individually chosen based on hand-written information about their relative/exact location and sometimes date. Negatives have been retained in their original order of those photographs in the photo albums and are held in Boxes 8 and 9.
