Fonds consists of various revised constitutions, minutes, annual reports of the Club, its committees and interest groups, financial records (including bound ledgers), correspondence, membership lists, newsletters, programmes (including photographs used in their production), a videotape of the Club's 75th-anniversary banquet, and scrapbooks. The increase in Club membership parallels the growth and development of the University. The records reflect many of the changes which have taken place over the years. They provide an insight into the concerns and activities of educated women through two world wars and the depression and record some of their contributions to university life.

The fonds of the Faculty of Medicine includes records which document the administrative and operational activities, actions and interests of the Faculty. Such records pertain to the establishment and organization of the Faculty; the development and actions of the Facultys governing bodies and committees; the planning, development and construction of various Faculty buildings such as the University Hospital, the I.R.C. Centre, the Basic Medical Sciences buildings and the Health Sciences Centre. These records also refer to the use of regional hospitals as clinical teaching hospitals and to relations between the Faculty and the University at large; as well as, with other university medical schools, governments, medical and related professions, associations and societies, businesses and hospitals. The records within this fonds also pertain to the Facultys receipt of gifts and donations, its departmental / divisional research endeavors and it applications for, and receipt of, awards for professional distinction. Types of material found in the Faculty of Medicine fonds include: correspondence, working papers, minutes, photographs, newspaper clippings, memorandum, agendas, studies, internal reports and reviews, applications, protocols and surveys. Fonds consists of records made and received by the Faculty of Education, with the bulk of the records originating from the Dean's Office within the Faculty of Education. The fonds documents the leadership role of the Office of the Dean (such as the Dean's Annual Report and Dean's Briefing Sessions) and the administrative role of the office (such as "Budget," "Employment," and "Reorganization"). The fonds also contains minutes and other documentation from the Joint Board of Teacher Education, 1963-1983, and the Tri-Ed Committee, from 1966-1982. Other documented activities include course development and syllabi; symposia, workshops and other special events; faculty research files; faculty committee files; documentation from various programs and departments that comprised the Faculty of Education (Undergraduate Studies, Elementary Education, etc.). Textual records are comprised of meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence, reports, publications, and notes. Non-textual records include photographs, architectural plans and drawings, and audio and audio-visual material.

These records reflect the activities of the Club and its committees. Also included are the Society's constitution and by-laws. Fonds consists of eleven series: Constitution and By-Laws, Annual General Meetings, Board of Directors, Committees, Administration, Finance, Physical Plant and Property, Membership, Printed Materials, Special Events, Faculty Club Art Collection, and Faculty Club Architectural Plans.

Faculty Association of the University of British Columbia fonds

The fonds consists of records generated by the Faculty Association in pursuit of its mandate to promote the welfare of the Faculty and the University of British Columbia. The records were organized according to several filing schemes, which were alphabetical, and constantly changing. Lack of consistency in the arrangement of the records impeded access. The archivist grouped the files into fifteen identifiable series. The original file titles have been retained.

Executive outgoing correspondence

File contains copies of outgoing executive correspondence dated November 1, 1975 to November 22, 1976. Topics include press communications, union representatives and representation, the Anti-Inflation Board (AIB), executive and membership meetings, communciations and negotiations with UBC, collective agreements, grievance, union jurisdiction and exemption, cooperation with other unions, maternity leave, job classifications and descriptions, seniority, layoffs, steward seminars, striking, strike fund, arbitration, new employee orientation, status of women, interpretation of by-laws and collective agreement, retirement, office plant repotting, finances, employee transfers, correspondence, union office organization, land lease increase, and union elections. Recipients consist primarily of UBC officials and employees, and include other unions, arbitrators, and union federations.
