History

The Icelandic National League of North America (INLNA), established in 1919 as a non-political, cultural organization, strives to promote Icelandic heritage, culture, and traditions in communities in North America. Their main purposes are to promote community citizenship, and promote understanding, co-operation, and cultural exchange between those of Icelandic heritage and the people of Iceland. INLNA’s head office is located in Gimli, Manitoba. The INLNA Vancouver chapter operates from the Icelandic Care Home Höfn Society in Vancouver, British Columbia.
