This album consists of a file folder that held pictures mounted on card for the British Columbia Provincial Museum's 1985 exhibition titled The New Highway to the Orient : The Canadian Pacific in British Columbia, 1885-1985. An inscription: "To Wally with my sincere thanks, Bob" is on the inner right side of the folder with a picture of the builder's model of the C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Asia mounted on the folder's verso. The file folder was presented to Dr. W. B. Chung by the museum, curator Robert Turner, in acknowledgement of his assistance in the preparation of the exhibition. Included are two complimentary tickets to the exhibition.

Belton, on the fire that destroyed the Empress of Russia, Goold's weekly reports to Captain R. N. Stuart, general manager of Canadian Pacific Steamships Limited, regarding the salvage operations carried out on the Empress of Russia in September and October of 1945, and a manuscript list and a form itemizing personal effects lost by Goold as a result of the fire.
