Vancouver is the only region whose records have been acquired by the archives. These include minutes of their regional meetings, with extensive administrative and operational records, including membership lists, financial information, announcements of events, and other records.
Vancouver International Writers' Festival
Subseries consists of a 2003 unsuccessful submission to the Vancouver International Writers’ and Readers’ Festival Poetry & Short Story Contest, “Older Road Travel”, which appeared in the Vancouver Courier July 14, 2006, and a letter from the organization.
Subseries consists of records relating to Campbell Jackson's education at, and activities while attending, the Vancouver General Hospital School of Nursing. Includes records concerning activities of classmates, Campbell Jackson's affiliation at Essondale, and her graduation. Record types include correspondence, a diploma, a photograph, and a commencement programme.
Other material relating to Campbell Jackson's education at VGH, including her application to and graduation from the School, may be found in the University of British Columbia subseries.
In 2002 Blais responded to an advertisement in the Vancouver Courier for a “senior scribe”. Her column, titled “On the Seniors Side” was generally published the first Wednesday of each month until 2008, although it does not appear every month. It deals mostly with issues related to aging.

The following photographs were photocopied from originals in Special Collections at the UBC Library. They were used by Ethel Warbinek in the book Legacy co-written with Glennis Zilm on the history of the UBC School of Nursing.

Task Committee on Competency Based Curriculum
This committee was established to respond to the Kermacks Report. Competence was defined as a measurable/observable performance to or beyond an established criterion in one or all aspects of the nursing role for a given setting, client and client problem.
Subseries consists of one folder of minutes, correspondence and reports.
Task Committe on Mandatory Registration
This committee’s goal was to identify the educational impact of a proposal by the RNABC to invoke mandatory registration.

Subseries consists of photographs and an album containing photos relating to Upshall's career as a student health service administrator at UBC and an album presented to her on her retirement. The album has been retained. The front inside cover has multiple signatures and is inscribed: “Presented to Muriel Upshall on her retirement. May you have many happy memories of all the people pictured within these covers. Best wishes”

School of Nursing Student Cards
School of Nursing Publications
Subseries consists of various publications, journals and magazines published by the UBC School of Nursing. Includes UBC Nursing Today, Nursing Beat and other related materials.
The B.C. History of Nursing Scholarship fund was established to provide financial support to nurses registered within B.C. who are pursuing studies in the History of Nursing, or who are carrying out a history of nursing project.
Subseries includes correspondence, scholarship application forms, application materials, the scholarship trust document, minutes, reports and other records pertaining to the selection of Nursing History Scholarship recipients.
Subsubseries consists mainly of records of twenty students from Prince Rupert General Hospital and Kelowna General Hospital. Information includes completed application forms, results of medical examinations, student transcripts, evaluations by instructors, reports on students, records of practical procedures performed, reference forms, correspondence, and tuition receipts.
Other material includes a photograph of nurses graduating from the Prince Rupert or Kelowna Hospital, an outline of lectures in ethics, and a nurses’ record book. The latter includes names of nurses, date admitted, information on days worked, and sick leave.
Royal Columbia Hospital School of Nursing Manual
Subseries includes School of Nursing Manual and related documents, including School of Nursing brochure for Royal Columbia Hospital, Isolation Technique manual, and handwritten medical case histories.
Manual includes topics such as Hospital Beds, Damp Dusting a Unit, Care of Linen and Blankets, Bed Baths, Fracture or Orthopaedic Beds, Hygienic Care of Eyes, Ears, Nose & Throat, Care and Hygiene of the Mouth, Hygienic Care of Hair, How to Lift Patients, Terminal Cleaning, Application of Binders, Serving Diets, BedPans, Care of Incontinent Patient, Colonic Irrigation, Gastric and Duodenal Suction, Oxygen Therapy, and Crutch Walking. Extensive student notes are also included.
RNABC reports and publications
Subseries consists of guides to materials and other reports concerning the operations of RNABC.
Relations with Other Organizations
Subseries consists of records documenting the School of Nursing’s relationship
with other organizations, particularly in the context of UBC’s Health Sciences Centre and Vancouver General Hospital.
BC was originally divided into six regions: Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Kamloops-Okanagan, Fraser Valley, East Kootenay and Prince George (Northern Interior). Later representatives attended from the West Kootenay and the Northwest. Representatives from each region submitted reports and met, generally twice year, with the RPO to discuss matters of common concern. These meetings were often scheduled to coincide with meetings of the Provincial Executive.
Subseries consists primarily of reports submitted by the different regions.
The regional presiding officer reported to the executive committee on concerns brought forth by different regions. S/he was also responsible for a range of activities promoting standards of care in their region.
Subseries consists mainly of agenda and minutes, along with correspondence, President’s, secretary’s, finance and education committee reports, minutes and other documents.

Program Orientation: Strategic Planning
This committee discussed global issues relating to the growth and improvement of the UBC nursing program, including ways of enhancing the efficiency and effective use of resources.
