Subseries consists of typewritten copy, notes, annotations, and chapters of various discourses that Moore had written.

Jonathan Oppenheim series

The series consists of exhibits, videotapes, photographs and documents collected for the PCC, correspondence and legal documents related to both the PCC and related legal actions, APEC Alert posters, information, pamphlets and ephemera, and other material collected and created by Oppenheim concerning the events surrounding APEC and the RCMP PCC.

Publishing & conference writing subseries

Academic papers and exhibition catalogues associated with various writing projects. Some materials for the published works relate to museum exhibitions can be found within the curatorial sub-series. Some overlap with the research material series, particularly regarding material prepared by others for conferences (see files: 24-19-24-61). This subseries is concerned with Sawyer's work. At the same time, the publications in the research material series involve the work of others.

Teaching subseries

Course materials and associated material relating to Sawyer's teaching career. It covers time spent at Texas State College for Women, University of British Columbia and various courses, including some study tours to Peru.

Research materials series

Research notes, pattern samples, published articles, draft and unpublished papers, journals and chapters, maps, photographs, correspondence, catalogues, and bibliographic references. It mainly focuses on Ancient Peru / Ancient Andean ceramics and textiles, with some material from Northwest Coast carvings and textiles and minimal material on African masks and textiles.

Original negatives subseries

35 mm b&w with some colour and 55mm negatives. Files contain a mixture of professional activities and objects from the Americas, Africa & Oceania.

Certificates series

The series consists of 4 oversized certificates, including Peebles’ diploma from UBC and photocopies of high school certificates and newspaper clippings.

Family History series

Series consists of records collected and written by Priscilla Galloway and other family members regarding the history of the Peebles family. It includes a binder put together by Priscilla Galloway that has printouts from a family history database detailing family history as well as original correspondence, newspaper clippings and other records created by various members of the Peebles family. The series also includes photocopies of photographs, newspaper clippings, histories of various family members, and articles about Peter Peebles’ work.

Arthur Evan Boss fonds

The fonds consists of an album created by former UBC student Arthur Evan Boss. It contains over 560 small black and white photographs, of which approximately the first half relate to UBC and taken between 1917 and 1924. The 232 UBC images include many views of students and student life at the original Fairview campus. As well as posed individual shots of students, there are many photographs of various student activities, including the annual class picnic. Although there is limited duplication of images already in the Archives, the photographs are, for the most part, unique, and a large majority of them have captions with enough information for identifying individuals. Images in the second half of the album lack detailed description and do not appear to relate to UBC.

Ecological Reserves Supporting Records series

Series includes records relating to the selection and confirmation of Ecological Reserves in BC. The records present in this series include correspondence, memorandums, meeting addresses, lectures, briefs, surveys, reports, “dead applications,” news clippings, Orders of the Lieutenant in Council, booklets, pamphlets, programs, check sheets, aerial photographs, park proposals, handwritten notes, and meeting minutes. Reports and check sheets on Ecological Reserves 1-39 are found throughout the records in the supporting records series. In addition, some of the reports in this series address the progress of the Ecological Reserve program in BC. Boxes: 4-8.

Cameron MacLeod fonds

This fonds contains records relating to Cameron MacLeod’s schooling, personal life, and work as an artist. The majority of the material spans from his childhood until his death in 1983, but the fonds also contains records relating to posthumous exhibitions of his artwork. Included in the fonds are schoolwork, personal reflections and journals, correspondence with family and friends, photographs, and examples of his artwork.

Journals and Personal Notes series

This series includes Cameron MacLeod’s journals from 1978 to 1983 and loose-leaf personal notes dating from 1978-1979. Also included are ephemera from his high school years until 1982. MacLeod’s journals give insight into his personal life and influence upon his art. The loose-leaf notes essentially contain reflections on the artistic performances he attended while travelling in Britain. The travel journal and 1983 journals in Box 4 were donated in March 2016.

South America subseries

This subseries contains records of collaboration between Distance Education and Technology and various universities in Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil. It includes correspondence, meeting agenda, conference programs and proceedings, and project proposals.

UK subseries

This subseries consists of records relating to the collaboration between UBC and various universities and educational organizations in the UK. It includes correspondence, program information, and draft reports.

USA subseries

This subseries consists of records relating to the collaboration between UBC and various universities and educational organizations in the United States. It includes correspondence, brochures, reports, and meeting information.

Education Research series

This series contains records relating to research about distance education that was partially funded by Distance Education and Technology or that they participated in. It includes correspondence, meeting agenda, minutes, reports, bibliographies, budgets and funding information, calls for applications for funding, project proposals and descriptions, and notes. The series is arranged according to the filing system provided by the creator.

Conference of Learned Societies Committee on Arrangements fonds

Books series

Series consists of drafts and draft chapters of published books by Suzuki, research materials, edited drafts, and correspondence with co-authors, contributors and publishers. In addition, it includes information about several uncompleted projects, including a book called “The Forest” and another about Japan. The files are arranged chronologically by publication date.

Budget subseries

Subseries consists of reports, financial documents, memorandum, correspondence, and notes regarding the budget and funding of the Division of Industrial Education. The sub-series has been re-organized in chronological order.

Chronological Engineering Physics Files series

Series consists of records from Engineering Physics. It includes documentation organized roughly according to year. These documents relate to class enrollment, course outlines, interdepartmental memoranda, surveys, reunion materials, class lists, reports, and brochures.

This series is arranged based on the chronological system followed by Engineering Physics. The folders are named according to the names and dates given in hanging files by Engineering Physics and appear to be collected by Professor Edward Auld. Note that files do not exist for each year, and in some instances, the folders include a broader range of years than is identified by the title initially given by Engineering Physics.

Correspondence series

The correspondence series includes correspondence between ALGOL 68 working group members, a limited selection of their recommendations for changes to ALGOL 68 arranged by year, samples of ALGOL Bulletins, and official International Federation for Information Processing communication.

Film production series

The series consists of 1 small box of textual records relating to the production of the series, including correspondence, applications, resumes, and releases regarding the film production. Series also consists of the footage used to create the documentary series, most of which are on Betacam SP small and large video. These video cassettes include interviews with Shatner, his family, and other actors. In addition, there is footage taken of Shatner as he interacts with others at a Star Trek convention, during his charity horseshow, at various locations in Montreal, and on his ranch. There is also footage of Shatner during his efforts to protect the wild horses of Santa Cruz Island, historical footage in his roles as Captain Kirk and TJ Hooker, and several stills. The series also includes audio tracks for the film on DAT and related material on Hi8 cassette. In addition, the series also consists of one 3 ½ inch floppy disk with documents relating to the production, a DVD with tracks from the film, and a DVD copy of the film itself.

Most of the footage was filmed in 1998 and 1999; however, the arrangement of the series does not follow a strict chronological order but retains the original numbering system created by Harvey McKinnon productions.

General series

Series consists of records documenting the University’s administration of the Society and Skeleem Village and includes correspondence and reports.

Utilities Billing and Administration series

Series consists of meeting minutes, correspondence, and billing agreements, resulting from the administration of hydro and gas to UBC buildings by UBC occupants. It also includes materials forecasting new developments, infrastructure costs and anticipated utility needs.
