The fonds consists of records from International House (1955-1963) and the Board of Trustees of the International House Association (1953-1963) as well as assorted printed material generated by International House. The Collection also includes a scrapbook of early advertising memorabilia (1895-1900), a history of UBC's Department of Psychology, collected material pertaining to the Axis powers during World War II and an unidentified diary.

The collection consists of records relating to the establishment of International House at the University of British Columbia. The materials, generated between 1953 and 1955, provide background information about events leading up to the establishment of International House, particularly the negotiations with the Vancouver Rotary Club which donated $150,000 toward the project.

The fonds consists of correspondence, reports, minutes, publications and clippings, financial records, and photographs. The materials are arranged in the following series, according to a block-numeric system established at International House in 1972: 10.000 - History, Objectives and Policies, 11.000 - Administration, 12.000 - Services and Programmes, 13.000 - UBC Campus Organizations, 14.000 Vancouver Area Organizations, and 15.000 Canadian and International Organizations.
