South Pacific Trade Forum subseries

Subseries consists of External Affairs briefing books, correspondence, news releases, travel claims, and tourist brochures from Vanuatu. The materials reflect Carney's participation in the South Pacific trade talks. Although Carney had been appointed to the senate and no longer held the portfolio of Minister of International Trade, at the request of Joe Clark Carney, she attended the talks as a member of the Canadian negotiation team. The photographs in the subseries include shots of Carney in Vanuatu and various views of the island.

South America subseries

This subseries contains records of collaboration between Distance Education and Technology and various universities in Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil. It includes correspondence, meeting agenda, conference programs and proceedings, and project proposals.

Sound Recordings Series

Series contains LPs, 78's, and tape recordings in which various Canadian and International musicians have recorded Coulthard's music. Also included are transcriptions of CBC Radio broadcasts during which Coulthard's music was performed. In addition, the series consists of several unpublished recordings of her compositions produced by Coulthard. Finally, many of the published performances have critical notes written by Coulthard on the sleeves of the disk.

Sound and Moving Images series

Video includes open video reels and U-Matic tapes; which include titles such as Theatre at UBC, Indian Education, Status of Women, UBC now China, Prince Philip, What Direction Quebec?, Installation of President Kenny, Ralph Nader and Blind Students amongst others. Sound recordings include interviews with Charles Borden, William Powtrie, Scott Dunbar, W.M. Armstrong, Chuck Davis, Jack Webster, Stan Peters, and Douglas T. Kenny amongst others. Other recordings are titled Cliff Erosion, Engineering Undergraduate Society dinner, AUCE labour dispute and English Department Debate. Sopron Division series

The series consists of records relating to the Sopron Division of the Faculty of Forestry. Between 1957 and 1961, students and faculty from the Sopron University of Forestry in Hungary joined the Faculty of Forestry as a special division following the Hungarian Revolution. These records contain materials relating to roughly 200 students and 14 faculty members, including transcripts, correspondence, and school history.

Song Of This Place series

Series consists of manuscript materials documenting the development of Coghill's play Song Of This Place, based on the life of Emily Carr, and including early drafts of scripts, notes, correspondence, brochures and other published materials, Actors' Equity agreements, and financial records documenting ticket sales and sponsorships.

Sol Tax (Editor) series

Series consists of records documenting the editorial activities of Dr. Sol Tax, Belshaw's predecessor as editor of Current Anthropology. The materials include correspondence reports regarding associate and agent business and submitted manuscripts.

Soil and rock series

Series consists of materials primarily related to soil and rock research. This series includes essays by Mathews, drafts of essays, calculations, statistical information, related correspondence, hand-written maps, diagrams, articles, and hand-written notes.

Social Work series

Series consists of materials related to social welfare, social changes, the status of women, and health services and includes lecture notes, articles, clippings, photographs and correspondence.

Social Security series

Series consists of materials dealing with social security (in Canada and elsewhere) and unemployment. Includes an extract of a statement to the Senate, clippings, notes, and surveys.

Social Education, the Humanities, and Summer School series

Series consists of correspondence, reports, course outlines, newspaper clippings and other printed material, and documents the social studies, civics, and arts courses administered by the Department and the summer school programme. The records are arranged in the following sub-series: Study and Study-Discussion Groups, Citizenship and Public Affairs, Citizens' Forum, Community Welfare and Recreation, Family Life, Parent and Pre-school Education, Leadership Training and Group Development, Fine Arts, and Summer School.

Soccer series

The records in the Soccer Series consist of game sheets for men’s and women’s soccer games, predominantly for 2013-2014. Also found are newspaper clippings, media guides, and soccer programs. Further newspaper clippings and soccer programs can be found in the Media and Promotions Series.

Slides series

Series consists of 430 scientific slides (i.e. charts, equations, and graphs), possibly for lecturing purposes, as well as some photographs.

Slides and Presentation Material series

Series consists of presentation slides and some lists of slides used by Michael Smith in various presentations. Also included is a small sub-series of slides from his Nobel Prize celebrations in Stockholm and a few from Vancouver.

Series consists of colored slides, black and white photographs and colored photographs of Marion Gilroy, the Gilroy family, North Central Saskatchewan Regional Library board members and employees, Dr. Helen Stewart, Marjorie Holmes and Muriel Foulkes.

Singles (2002) is a thirteen-episode reality television series following eleven single Vancouverites, covering a broad spectrum of life and lifestyles as they work, play and date during one summer.

Series consists of a digital master tape of each episode, a set of video elements about the development of one representative character and textual material relating to the development of the production.

Simon Fraser Research Material series

Series consists of correspondence, clippings, photostats of historical documents, and maps used by Lamb to prepare Simon Fraser: Letters and Journals, 1806-1808. Maps are fully described in File List 2 in the finding aid.

Sima7 series

The books in this project were published in 1991. The project consisted of a book for students and a teacher’s guide and was intended for elementary students. It was created to promote cultural understanding and relations and is filled with stories from different First Nations groups, such as the Hopi, Iroquois, Inuit, and Maya. Series consists of drafts and editorial notes.

Short Courses series

The series consists of records relating to the administration of short courses. In addition, it includes pamphlets promoting various courses, student registration cards, applications and correspondence with faculties.

Shiney’s Head Set Design series

This series consists of thirty-three hand-drawn set designs for “Shiney’s Head.” The film was shot in Dublin, Ireland. The working title was “Delaney’s Flutter” and was also known as “On the Nose.”

Sexual Harassment series

Series consists of records created and used by the Women's Research Centre on the subject of sexual harassment in the workplace. The Women's Research Centre distributed questionnaires to employed women to identify the existence of sexual harassment in the workplace and determine levels of sexual harassment, types of sexual harassment, frequency of sexual harassment, women's reactions to sexual harassment and the consequences of reporting such behaviour. The research process involved working with Labour Unions, conducting interviews, and holding conferences. Series consists of questionnaires, correspondence, published booklets on Sexual Harassment, various reports, newsletters, news briefs, advice sheets, press releases, Human Rights Code of British Columbia, communiqués, multiple articles, legal documents, address lists, handwritten and typed notes, agendas, sample research projects, graphs, photocopied and original newspaper clippings, conference registration forms, interview transcripts, Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC) radio transcripts, newspapers, various outlines, drafts and completed copies of multiple reports, fact sheets, stickers, and statistics.

Series consists of records documenting the services and programmes offered by International House, including reception and orientation for newly-arrived international students, translation and English coaching services, arranging for housing and employment, trips and excursions, and hosting parties, lectures, and other special events.
