Farrell v. McLaughlin

File contains: Notice of Motion for Decree; Affidavit of Plaintiff; Interrogatories for the Examination of the Defendant in Answer to the Bill of Complaint of the Plaintiff; Writ of Ne Exeat Regno; Praecipe; Order of Judge; Affidavit of Elsarres; and Depositions of Farrell and McLaughlin. The Plaintiff had employed the Defendant to sell goods for his company. The Defendant came into the notion that he was in a partnership with the Plaintiff which was completely untrue. The Defendant was not forwarding the money made on goods sold on behalf of the Plaintiff to the Plaintiff and all of the allegations that he made in his Bill of Complaint are simple fabrications. The Plaintiff is suing for 809 pounds on unpaid accounts due to him from the Defendant.

Williams v. Shustark

The Plaintiff had interfered with the Defendant in the erection of a fence around his lot on Douglas Street. The Defendant had not understood the description of or the parameters of his property and had unknowingly erected a portion of the fence on the Plaintiff's property.

Harris v. Clarke

File contains: Affidavit of the Plaintiff, Affidavit of A.J. Rise; Bill of Complaint; Judges Order, Affidavit of J. Hill; and Injunction. The Plaintiff had bought 25 head of cattle at $50 per head from a Mr. I Carson, which were grazing on the pasture of the Defendant. When the Plaintiff's agent appeared, viewed the cattle and approved of the sale, asking that they now be delivered, the Defendant denied that they were the cattle of Mr. I. Carson and could not deliver them.

Campbell and Co. v. McInnes

Mason v. Bate

Rippon was the owner of a piece of property, Section 20, Range IV, Mountain District, Vancouver Island. Upon his death, the property was to be sold at public action, authorized by Mason. Noah Shakespeare, acting as the agent of Mr. Bate and the Vancouver Coal Company, purchased the said property on their behalf. Bate then stated that Shakespeare has exceeded his instruction. It is presumed that Mason is suing for the purchase price of the property, 100 acres at $250 an acre, equaling $25,000.
