Sam Black fonds

The fonds consists of biographical material, family information, correspondence, speeches, publications, subject files, teaching and reference material, photographs, audio and videotapes and artifacts. The fonds also includes various forms of Black's artwork. A copy of a Black family history published by Myra Davey (née Black) in 2006 had a CD of digitized images.

The fonds consists of notes, manuscripts, drafts, galleys, and correspondence relating to Rule's published and unpublished novels and short stories. The fonds also includes biographical and autobiographical material, college papers, teaching records, non- fiction manuscripts, typescript copies of book reviews by Rule, and personal and professional correspondence. Also included are numerous photographs, maintained both singly and in photograph albums, as well as digital images. Rule's collection of
reviews of her work, audio recordings of interviews and readings, her Orders of Canada and B.C. certificates, and the first XTRA! West Jane Rule Memorial Writer of the Year Award are also included.

Ellen Jaffe fonds

Fonds consists mainly of correspondence between Ellen Jaffe and Jane Rule, written between 1996 and 2001. The first series follows a letter Jaffe wrote to Rule in appreciation of the TVO film Fiction and Other Truths about her life and work. The rest of the letters deal with Jaffe asking to use quotes from the film in her book Writing Your Way and her visiting Rule on Galiano Island in 2001 to give her a copy of the book. The folder also includes a copy of Jaffe’s book, with the quotes from Jane Rule bookmarked.

David Fischer fonds

The fonds consist of preliminary and working set design construction drawings and sketches for several productions on which David Fischer worked. It also contains show books that highlight his work. Highlights of the set designs in this fonds include his work on Shiney’s Head, Lonesome Dove The Series, Harvey, The Beachcombers, and Burton Cummings Going For Gold – a CBC production.

Fonds consists of published and unpublished works, subject files, correspondence, minutes, reports, sound recordings and a photograph relating to Basil Stuart-Stubbs' position as University Librarian and Director of the School of Librarianship (School of Library, Archival and Information Studies) at UBC, his involvement with the UBC Press, and his academic interests and activities. Fonds has been arranged into the following nine series: Publications - General series (2001); Books and Booklets series (1966-1986); Published Articles series (1964-1991); Papers and Speeches series (1966-1990); Reports series (1969-1987); W. Kaye Lamb series (1988-1990); UBC Press series (1969-1985); Subject Files series (1975-1977); and UBC Senate Library Committee series (1969).
