This is a C.P.R. coal book which consists of one volume of coal receipts and coal distribution notes for the coal hulks Melanope and C. P. R. No. 100, which supplied Canadian Pacific ships on the Pacific coast of Canada. Annotations by Dr. Wallace B. Chung relating to the contents of this volume, on front endpapers.

Carlstadt highway crossing

Correspondence written and received by Peter MacPherson, Right of Way and Lease Agent of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company's Western Division, regarding a proposal for a new highway crossing in Carlstadt, Alberta, as well as a blueprint, "Plan and Profile of Proposed Crossing, Bowell St.-Carlstadt-Alberta", July 2, 1910. The file also includes petitions by residents of Carlstadt and two copies of an Order from the Board of Railway Commissioners for Canada, October 12, 1911.
