At trial, the Wet’suwet’en people were represented by the 13 Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, whose territories during that time lay mainly in the watersheds of the Bulkley and parts of the Fraser-Nechako River systems and their tributaries. The original claims were altered and replaced with claims for aboriginal title and self-government, and eventually the individual claims by each House were amalgamated into two collective claims, one on behalf of the Wet’suwet’en Nation and the other for the Gitksan Nation. The Wet’suwet’en Exhibits consists primarily of records relating to Wet'suwet'en history, territory, and traditions. Series also includes Plaintiffs’ expert witness evidence, Wet’suwet’en genealogy information, photographs, oral histories, maps, letters, interviews and commission evidence.

Series includes records relating to the New Democratic Party of Canada, including the Vancouver Quadra riding. Series also includes records from the electoral planning committee, and records relating to the Rosemary Brown leadership campaign in 1975, which Thomas was instrumental in organizing.

The slides reflect projects that Cardew designed and built, including key projects such as the CN Pavilion at Expo ‘86, Lignum Sawmill Offices in Williams Lake, Crown Life Building (now known by its address at 1500 West Georgia), the Stone (Yunesit’in) Band School, False Creek Townhouses, and the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery at the University of British Columbia, as well as his best known exhibition, Peter Cardew, Ordinary Buildings. Project slides include images of drawings, plans, models, and completed structures. There are also slides of various buildings that may have served as inspiration for his designs.

Records consist primarily of building permit applications, newspaper clippings, awards, diplomas, certificates of membership in professional organizations and posters of various lecture series in which Cardew participated. The series also includes records related to the operation of Cardew’s firm, Peter Cardew Architects, such as account ledgers, stamps, an embossing machine, the firm profile and an exhibition catalog for his best known exhibit Peter Cardew, Ordinary Buildings.

Records include architectural drawings of some of Cardew’s best known projects including the Crown Life Building (now known by its address at 1500 West Georgia), the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery at the University of British Columbia, the Calgary Folk Music Festival Hall, the CN Pavilion at Expo ’86, the Lignum Sawmill Offices in Williams Lake, Reigning Champ Stores, the TNRD Public Library and Art Gallery, and the Yunesit’in First Nation (also known as Stone Band) School, as well as private homes, offices, and furniture designs. Drawings are both stapled and loose, hand drawn and printed, on a variety of media including tracing paper, bond paper, plastic, and vellum.

Series documents the Management Indicators for British Columbia College and Institute Learning Resources Centres Project, an initiative undertaken from 1977 to 1981 by the Council of Post-Secondary Library Directors (CPSLD) College Library Standards & Accreditation Committee and its Sub-Committee on Role Definition. Initially called the “Standards for B.C. College and Institute LRCs,” the project was initiated to draft standards (also referred to in the records as “guidelines” and “management indicators”), role statements, and a working definition of the term “Learning Resource Centre” (LRC) in the B.C. post-secondary context. CPSLD considered updated standards imminently necessary due to shifting budgetary and reporting procedures triggered by the Colleges and Provincial Institutes Act of 1977 and the allocation of LRC funding to the Management Advisory Council in November 1978. The project developed quantitative criteria based on the following six areas to inform standards: budget, collections, staff, services, A/V equipment, and facilities. A report on Phase I of the project, which gathered and analyzed material relating to community college standards and their development, was submitted by W. E. Hanafi and B. E. Husband in January 1979. This report was followed up by an interim report in January 1980 and final report in 1981, both by R. J. Welwood, which assessed individual B.C. LRCs compare to established standards and modified these standards for B.C. institutions.

Series consists of material created and gathered by the Management Indicators for British Columbia College and Institute Learning Resources Centres Project between 1977 and 1980. The series consists of records generated and received by Lee in a wide array of public functions. Predominantly, the records highlight Lee’s devotion to and involvement in the Kuomintang starting in the 1920s up until the end of his life. They detail the high-profile positions Lee held in the Kuomintang as a representative in the National Assemblies and the National Congresses of the Kuomintang, as well as the substantial amount of work he carried out in promoting the Kuomintang agenda in the overseas Chinese community. As whole, the series offers illustrative insight into the political ideology and activities of the Kuomintang with consideration to the geopolitical turbulence in East Asia and beyond in the 20th century. Other records in the series show Lee’s prolific involvement in organizations and associations related to the overseas Chinese. Records include but are not limited to: reports, meeting documents, certificates, publications, newspaper clippings, written notes, telegrams, attendance tickets and passes, business and membership cards, permits, and stamps and memorabilia. Some records in this series were generated after Lee’s passing by associations related to and/or affiliated with Lee’s functions during his life.

The series consists of personal records generated and received by Lee and his family. Records detail Lee’s experiences with immigration and settlement in Canada and offer some general insight into the conditions of daily life for Chinese Canadians in British Columbia. They also pertain to Lee’s explorations of traditional Chinese medicine, his family relationships, and his passing. Records include but are not limited to: passports, immigration forms, maps, certificates, telegrams, Chinese medicine prescriptions, letters, newspaper clippings, receipts, business cards, postcards, paper advertisements, and menus.

The series includes records and ephemera related to the Canadian Citizenship Council, of which Foon Sien was a member.

Series contains copies of books and ephemera issued by A Lone Press (1998-1999) and Heavenly Monkey (1999- 2010) and includes setting copies, detailed page layout schematics, dummy of final book, final printing schedule and sequence, proofs and impressions, make-ready copies, printing plates, printing blocks, photographs and various other documents used in the creation of each item.

Series contains a total of 18 cassette tapes recorded by Irene Howard. Some were conducted in the course of research on the life of Ethel Wilson. These include interviews and/or discussions with Lila Malkin, Lucile Parsons, D’Uyly Rochfort and Mrs. George Thompson. The other interviews related to the history of Vancouver’s West End with Mr. G.E. Eldridge, Mrs. A.D. Bell-Irving, Elspeth Cherniavsky and Henry Randolph Clyne. The other interviews include Clyde Turner on Woodward’s Department Store and Bill Beacon of Berryland Farms. There is one interview that contains material for broadcast, called Mom’s Repairs.

Most of the files of advertisements were either sent from Seattle to Vancouver and compiled into files in Vancouver, or compiled by the Vancouver office, as indicated by the file titles. Series also contains a file of photographs showing various uses of red cedar shingles on homes and other structures.

This series consists of bank and taxation receipts, court documents, Northern Gem Mining Corporation shareholder documents, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers notices and shareholder documents, G. & B. Heating Ltd. documents and financial statements, electrical contractor certificate documents, letters, forms, property assessment and sales agreement, Workmen's Compensation Boards claim documents, and British Columbia Electric Co. pension documents.

This series consists of the collected records pertaining to George Gee’s activities acting in the capacity of union business agent for Acme Plumbing and Heating Service and The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in the United States and Canada. The series contains correspondence, employer lists, reports, clippings and leaflets, contract amendments, union bulletins and other related documents. Correspondents and subjects include: Department of Labour, The Canadian Labour congress, correspondence with RCA, Rankin, Dean & Simons: Barrister, Solicitors, and Notaries Public, and Maxwell Construction Ltd.

This series consists of photographs of the interior and exterior of the Press Club in British Columbia, and photographs, negatives and a contact sheet of railway construction.

Series contains of records related to different projects undertaken by the British Columbia Lumber Manufacturers Association. Materials consist of correspondence requesting films about the forestry and lumber industry, a discussion of caption for a forestry related film, an extract from an article on Fire Proofing Wood, correspondence requesting information on the preservative treatment of timber, and a request for a speaker to present his knowledge of wood chemistry.

Series includes statistics relating to the British Columbia Lumber Manufacturers Association. Materials consist of a comparison of logging and sawmill workers by nationality and statistics from the Bureau of Economics on commodities from British Columbia that are exported to foreign countries.

Series contains bulletins created by the British Columbia Lumber Manufacturers Association. Material consists of news bulletins, a bulletin regarding the wages of employees in the sawmill industry, bulletins that report on the logs, scaling, exports, the markets, and a bulletin relating to the BCLMA, SMA and BCLM lumber associations.

Series consists of a brief to the Sloan Commission prepared by CRCSA on the past and present status of Red Cedar Shingle industry in British Columbia, a brief to the royal Commission of Enquiry into the Forest Recourses of British Columbia, a brief prepared for the United Kingdom on the exports of Western Red Cedar Shingle to the U.K, and briefs concerning merchandising techniques of shingles.

Series consists of bulletins that discuss several topics include shares on British Columbia Red Cedar Shingle Export Association, meeting reminders for Board of Director meetings and BCLMA meetings, and general correspondence.

Series consists of circulars from the Pacific Lumber Inspection Bureau based in Seattle, Washington, which outline “Waterborne Shipments of Lumber” by the foot for each year, circulars concerning trade extensions regarding various markets including South Africa, the United States British West Indies, Hong Kong, extracts from the Seattle Post Intelligencer and other American newspapers.
