This promotional film shows various aspects of the forestry industry. The film includes footage of forestry education at the British Columbia Vocational School in Nanaimo, the work of chokermen, rigging operators, hook tenders, truck drivers, nimblemen, boomboat men, and towboat men. Falling and bucking is shown in detail as well as various methods of yarding including high lead yarding, tension skidding, grapple yarding, and cat skidding, In addition slash burning, fire protection and wildlife control in the context of a multiple use forest are shown in the film. The film is narrated by Art Hives.

This promotional film documents various careers in the forestry industry of British Columbia by following the process of timber harvesting and milling operations. Aspects of forestry shown in the film include falling, bucking, yarding (high-lead yarding and grapple yarding), loading, driving logging trucks, building and maintaining logging roads and equipment, dryland sorting, scaling, tugboat driving, wood processing in lumber and pulp and paper mills, tree farming, slash burning, and wildlife management.
