A file folder that held pictures mounted on card for the British Columbia Provincial Museum's 1985 exhibition titled The New Highway to the Orient : The Canadian Pacific in British Columbia, 1885-1985. On the verso of the folder is a photograph of a the C.P. R.M.S Empress of Asia model that is now kept on exhibition at the Chung Collection at RBSC UBC.

This album consists of promotional material for the Empress to the Orient exhibition at the Vancouver Maritime Museum in May 1991 to January 1992. It includes a press kit consisting of a colour poster advertising the exhibition, the notes for remarks by William W. Stinson, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Pacific Limited, and E. V. Dodge, the Executive Vice-President of Canadian Pacific Rail. The album also consists of a May 6, 1991 press release by the Vancouver Maritime Museum regarding the opening of the exhibition to the public and a communique issued by the Royal Canadian Mint on May 15, 1991, regarding a one hundred dollar commemorative gold coin depicting the C.P. R.M.S. Empress of India. Enclosed within the press kit are fifteen photographs of the exhibition, and an article from the January 1992 issue of Vancouver Magazine.
