The collection consists of pamphlets, correspondence, addresses, menus, publications, diagrams, maps, and photographs assembled by members of the Western Universities Battalion, "D" Company.

The fonds consists of correspondence, research/miscellaneous material, manuscripts/other writings by Chipman, subject file, collected printed/published materials and photographs.
