Interview and film transcripts

Series consists of transcripts of interviews conducted with the friends, family, and associates of Malcolm Lowry and Lowry scholars for the documentary, as well as a final transcript of the completed film. The producers of the film conducted interviews with 46 people in England, Canada, and Mexico, though not all of the interviews were used in the final film, including an interview with Jan Gabrial, which was conducted after the documentary was completed. The majority of the interviews were conducted by Robert Duncan with a few being conducted by Donald Brittain. The interview transcripts include annotations that may indicate the sections considered for use in the film. Interview transcripts are arranged by film roll numbers or location roll numbers, numbers given to each ten-minute film roll for editing and record-keeping purposes. The roll numbers correspond to the chronological order in which the interviews took place. The series is arranged into 39 files. Files are named according to the interview subject(s) and the film roll number(s).
