Clippings and other textual material regarding the steamship Monteagle, including a menu and a saloon passenger list (1907), a bill of lading (1913), a list of sailings and fares (1915), and some correspondence and two purser's balance sheets (1919) relating to the financial responsibilities of the Monteagle's purser R. D. Reddie, including letters written by Marine Superintendent Captain E. Beetham, General Agent J. J. Forster, and other Canadian Pacific employees.

K. Seaton's second C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Britain's world tour album

This album consists of photographs taken by perhaps Ken Seaton during a world cruise on the second C.P. R.M.S. Empress of Britain. With the photographs is a card inscribed: "With best wishes for a happy Xmas from Lily and Ron". The card also has a photograph mounted inside of it of newlywed Ken Seaton and his spouse from Southampton, UK.

Ltd pass, and White Pass & Yukon Railway first class ticket.

Contains two prints mounted on same sheet of paper, on recto (PH-63) is steamer Dawson in partly ice-covered waterway, verso (PH-64) shows deck area, possibly the Steamer Dawson, but could be a different boat.

Harry L. Suydam stamped on verso, some contain handwritten captions on verso. Included with album is small informational page on Hazel Achison (1894-1898)-- find a grave memorial. 'Four year old Hazel was the first of many who died during a major epidemic of cerebro-spinal meningitis in 1898.' Signatures on photograph and mats match that of Asahel Curtis, presumably the creator of these photographs.

[Family Album of BC and Europe]

An album from an unknown family living in British Columbia, consisting mainly of family photos throughout BC, as well as a few purchased souvenir photographs from Europe. Many of the photos are captioned and/or dated, and they are not in specific chronological order. The photos are glued into the album, and many are fading badly. The orientation of the album switches after the first few pages, and the rest of the images are upside down.

[Istanbul Photo Album]

An album of photographs and postcards of Istanbul (referred to as Stamboul or Constantinople throughout). Most of the images include type-written captions. The album comes from the estate of one Mr. Abramson, a former Consul General of the United States to Canada, and it is possible that he is the creator. A second album of Istanbul photos, also from Abramson's estate, is dated 1928, and is believed to be from the same trip (see UL_1293/1734 #4). The album, photos, and captions are all in good shape.

An album of photographs of Istanbul, likely images purchased as souvenirs of a trip. See also UL_1734_03 for snapshots believed to be from the same trip. Both albums come from the estate of one Mr. Abramson, a former Consul General of the United States to Canada. There are images from the around the city, from the interior of what is believed to be the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, and one, incongruously, of the Great Wall of China. Some of the images come with type-written captions or information clipped from newspapers or pamphlets. The album and most of the photos are in good condition. Some of the typed captions in the album appear to be from a published guide to Constantinople.

A photo album documenting the world travels of a Canadian family. They appear to have spent time living in Ontario as well as British Columbia, and travelled extensively. The photos are well captioned and dated, and often include individual names. The album and photos are still in generally good shape.
