The collection consists of materials acquired by Special Collections and the University Archives and maintained for purposes of historical research. It includes reports, correspondence, committee minutes, course materials, architectural and other drawings, newspaper and magazine clippings, press releases, posters, brochures, and other published materials. The materials are arranged alphabetically by subject or name (e.g. organisations, University departments, events, buildings/places, and individuals).

Fonds consists of textual records documenting the programmes and activities of the Department of Pathology, and the Departmentʹs relationships with other organizations. These records include minutes, correspondence, course outlines and related materials, and reports. The records are arranged in the following series: Minutes, Department Head, Courses, Buildings and Facilities, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, and General.

Fonds consists of records documenting Philip Reid's activities as a professor and researcher from 1979 to 1993. Series include biographical information (1980-1990); correspondence (1977-1994); program development and course material (1978-1993); research, notes, and data (1959-1989); unpublished materials (1975-1992); and published material (1973-1993).
