The fonds consists of records chronicling various facets of Howard's long career in mining-related activities. It includes material from his student days, his years at Eldorado Gold Mines, and his years as a professor at the University of British Columbia. The fonds includes photographs reflecting the development of mining equipment and technology. In particular, the numerous photographs from Howard's Eldorado days (1942-1946) depict not only mining operations but also capture aspects of social life in Port Radium, a remote community near the Arctic Circle.

Fonds consists of a “transit book” – a bound notebook used by Hal Norman for notes and measurements taken during his Surveying course in 1923 – and three maps of UBC’s Fairview and Point Grey campuses, hand-drawn in 1923 and plotted in 1976.

The fonds consists of general correspondence (1937-1991), personal correspondence files (1950-1985), and miscellaneous personal records. Fonds also includes lecture notes, outlines and other materials relating to courses taught by Haddock at University of Washington, University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University (1954-1982). In addition, the fonds contains records of his participation with the UBC Speakers Bureau (1976-1987) and subject files. Fonds includes: Biographical Information, General Correspondence (1937-1991), Personal Correspondence Files (1950-1985), Miscellaneous Personal Records, Course-Related Records (1954-1982), and Subject Files.

Fonds consists of records made and received by the Division of Industrial Education. The bulk of the fonds documents the administrative activities of the Division, such as personnel, budgets, meetings, committees, and the association with the Faculty of Education and other offices at UBC. The fonds also contain program development documentation, including proposals, curriculum, course outlines, and other teaching materials. Additional records are related to the field of Industrial Education in general. Textual records are comprised of memorandums, meeting agendas and minutes, correspondence, reports, notes, curriculum, and lesson plans. Non-textual records include photographs and technical drawings.
Fonds is arranged in the following series: Administration series, Programs series, and Miscellaneous series. The Administration series also consists of five sub-series: Faculty, Budgets; Meetings; Faculty of Education and UBC; and Committee. The Programs series also consists of the Courses sub-series.

Fonds consists of textual records which document Dr. Marchak's scholarship and related professional and administrative activities, and includes correspondence, reports, typescripts of speeches and articles, written notes, contracts, journal off-prints, course materials, conference packages, and newspaper and magazine clippings.
The fonds is arranged in the following series: Published Works, Unpublished Works, Books Correspondence and Reviews, Universities, Organizations, & Associations, Political Science and Mahmoodi/Dutton Affairs, Correspondence Course, and Conferences. Some series are further divided into sub-series. Within each series and sub-series, the records have mostly been retained in their original order.
