The fonds consists of biographical information about Watney, copies of her B.A. (1923), M.A. (1926) and Ph.D. (1933) theses, teaching material, correspondence, copies of publications and photographs.

Fonds consists of both office and personal records that span much of Smith's long career with the U.B.C. Library, and includes correspondence, reports, minutes, notes, course materials, publications, and newspaper clippings. The records are arranged in the following series: Reference Correspondence, Subject Files Personal and Office (Campus and Off-Campus), Subject Files Library, Miscellaneous Reference Subject Files, Canadian Library Association, and Library Education.

Fonds consists of records created or acquired by Marjorie V. Smith in the course of her work at the Centre for Continuing Education, and include correspondence, course materials, reports, photographs, and published materials. The records are arranged in five series: East Indian Programs, Multiculturalism, Indians, Reports on Workshops, and Publications. The arrangement is based on the order in which they were kept in Smith's office and transferred to the Archives.
