Records in this subseries relate to the time when Kujundzic's served as the head of the Arts Department at Pennylvania State University's Fayette Campus from 1968 until 1982. It includes teaching materials, interdepartmental correspondence, applications and notices, and records relating to art projects undertaken at the University.

Records in this subseries include materials relating to Kujundzic's professional roles with art organizations and societies, including: the Sculptor's Society of British Columbia and the Sculptor's Society of Canada, Federation Internationale de la medaille (FIDEM), the Washington Potters Association (WPA), the Central Washington Artists Association, the Allied Arts Council of Allied Arts Association, the Pioneer Crafts Council, North West Designer’s Craftsmen (NWDC), and Fine Arts Connection.

Also included are records relating to his service on the editorial board of “Earth & You” publication, as a member and coordinator of the IAC, and as president of the Okanagan Contemporary Artists.

Sub-series consists of agendas and minutes of meetings, correspondence and memoranda, reports, notes, news clippings, transcripts of forum proceedings, published guides, financial reports, proposals, and other records related to Miki’s involvement with the Greater Vancouver JCCA. 7 photographic contact sheets illustrate the unveiling of a commemorative plaque in Kaslo, British Columbia. The sub-series also contains audio recordings of community meetings and forum proceedings, Greater Vancouver JCCA Redress Committee meetings and elections and general JCCA meetings, and broadcast interviews relating the activities of the JCCA. Miki sat on the Greater Vancouver JCCA Board of Directors and served as Chair of the Greater Vancouver JCCA Redress Committee between 1984 and 1988. The sub-series documents Miki’s activities in both these capacities in particular, and the activities and campaigns of the organization in general. Board of Directors records and Redress Committee records are arranged chronologically followed by alphabetically arranged subject files.

Sub-series consists of correspondence, manuscripts, drafts, photographs,
photocopied documents, reviews, articles, and other records relating to Miki’s
research for and writing and publication of A Record of Writing: An Annotated & Illustrated Bibliography of George Bowering. Includes some photographs of George Bowering, as well as copies of correspondence between Bowering and many prominent Canadian authors.

Sub-series consists of photocopies and original materials gathered by Miki for research purposes. These include minutes of meetings, articles and essays, conference programs and proceedings, copies of American and Canadian legislation, reports, news clippings and serials, bibliographies, monographs. and other material related to Japanese Americans, Japanese Canadians, their internment during WWII, and the redress movement. The sub-series contains audio recordings of broadcast interviews and interviews conducted by Miki and a video recorded program on redress-related topics. These records reflect Miki’s research activities and may also serve other researchers interested in these subjects and issues. Also consists of research materials (including a study conducted by Kundio Hidaka titled “Legal Status of Japanese in Canada”) gathered and annotated by Miki. Subseries also includes photographs from redress related events including the photographs used in the“Japanese Canadian Losses Study” conducted in 1985.

photographs, and other records pertaining to the research, writing, and publication of Miki’s thesis: The Prepoetics of William Carlos Williams: Kora in Hell.

Sub-series contains correspondence, minutes of meetings, notes, and other records related to Miki’s role in organizing the Injustice conference held in Vancouver in 1992. The sub-series also contains transcripts of presentations made at the conference and drafts of the conference proceedings which Miki co-edited with Scott McFarlane and which were published in 1996. Finally, the sub-series contains research files on the histories and experiences of minority groups represented at the Injustice conference and in the conference proceedings. Records related to conference planning precede the manuscript drafts which are followed by the research files arranged alphabetically according to the name of the minority group.

Conferences and events relate to Miki’s literary, academic, and political activities and interests.

Sub-series reflects Burch’s career with British Columbia Forest Products and other significant events during that time, such as his wedding, tours, trips, retirement, and the dedication of the Gerry Burch Working Forest. Several files relate to other foresters and their careers, which arrived from Burch in several accruals. Sub-series consist of records generated in the course of Burch’s genealogical research and research on the town of Moyie for his autobiography. The sub-series is divided into 13 files: 9 relating to genealogy, one file of correspondence with another family member, one file of photographs, one file of newspaper clippings relating to his ancestors, and one file of research on the town of Moyie. Types of records include marriage and death certificates, descendent charts, correspondence, and other textual materials, as well as photographs, both historical childhood photographs and those taken during the course of Burch’s research, such as those of ancestral gravesites.

After his retirement from B.C. Forest Products, Burch remained active in the forestry sphere as a consultant. Documents in this sub-series reflect his continued interest in forestry related issues. The sub-series consists of two files, containing documents such as correspondence, ephemera, newsletters, and newspaper clippings. The division between the files is based on Burch’s own classification of the items as “G” or “H.”

Subseries consists of records and graphic material relating to conferences and displays. Materials relating to the International History of Nursing Conference hosted in Vancouver, 1997 are included. Extensive photographs and textual materials document the many displays prepared and presented by the BCHNS.

The collection consists of a record of B.C. History of Nursing Group displays from 1997 to 2001 in the Woodward Medical Library, the Board Room of the Registered Nurses Association of B.C. building, and the lobby of the RNABC building, with a file of photographs from the Royal Columbia Hospital Nursing Week in May 2006.

The first displays were presented in nine glass cases in the Woodward Biomedical Library at UBC during the spring and summer of 1997 in connection with the International History of Nursing Conference and the Congress of the International Council of Nurses.

In early 1998 the group purchased a display cabinet for the Board Room of RNABC at 2855 Arbutus, Vancouver. At this time the Group also began nursing displays on a bulletin board at the RNABC Library.

In April 2000 the Group purchased a wood and fibre glass dress form to display period nursing uniforms in the lobby of the RNABC building, and further promote interest in the history of nursing.

The majority of the work spent in co-ordinating recent displays, keeping records, and gathering this material, was done by Jill Thompson-Beaudreau, who died in November, 2001. Others involved in the creation of displays include Irene Goldstone, Helen Shore, Janet Gormick, Sheila Zerr, Beth Fitzpatrick, Glennis Zilm, Ethel Warbinek and Nina Rumen.

Most (not all) files contain photographic records of the displays, and most include some description of the exhibit, including the location and the creators of the display.

Subseries consists of diplomas, certificates and a poem dating from 1918 to 1994. Certificates and diplomas received from various schools of nursing.

Subseries consists of theses, paper and dissertations written by nurses for various institutions dating from 1947 to 2012. Some dissertations remain in relevant fonds, if applicable, otherwise these materials are listed under this subseries.

Subseries consists of CDs and DVDs containing material dating from 1990 to 2004. Content includes History of Nursing News publications, photographs, presentations and video productions related to nursing.

The Archives, Artifacts, and Assorted Articles Committee of the BCHNPPG was formed ca. 1992 in order to accommodate artifacts and articles donated by individual nurses. In about 1993 or 1994, under co-chairs Brenda Flynn and Beverly Du Gas, the Committee became conscious of the need to preserve the group’s own records. The name of the committee was changed to the Archives Committee in 1996.

Subseries consists of committee records, including terms of reference and minutes of the Archives, Artifacts and Assorted Articles Committee, and records related to the development of the Group’s policies and procedures regarding archival material.

The Memorial Nursing Portrait Collection was established in 1990 to raise money for the History of Nursing Scholarship Fund and to provide a visual, lasting portrait to honour a friend, family member, or other subject.

Subseries consists of committee reports and documents, booklets prepared by the committee, and information on nurses selected for this project. Many also have biographical files or fonds.

Sheila Zerr writes “My fascination with dolls and nursing history began when teaching the history of nursing to first year students in 1971. At this time a display of portrait dolls illustrating the various historical periods of nursing was created. This collection has continued to grow and take form.” The changing costumes throughout the years provide insights into both the history of nursing and the changing perceptions of women in this role.

This series includes historical context for these dolls, including many photographs. Some information on the numerous displays of these dolls in a wide variety of venues is included. Sheila often collaborated with Glennis Zilm on the historical research.

Sheila Zerr extended her interest in dolls to the creation of costumes for adults. These were often modelled by Sheila Zerr and others at nursing events, and mounted as exhibits.

The collection of periodicals, mainly of fantasy and science fiction includes a sampling of many serials.

Sub-series c consists of meeting minutes that discuss freight rates, conference proceedings, correspondence, the Association’s constitution and by-laws, forestry legislation, and reports from various committees.

Sub-series contains annual general meeting minutes for the Consolidated Shingle Mills Association of British Columbia a division of the CRCSABC. Material consists of ledger books documenting the associations’ decisions, including the founding of three standing committees and reports from the standing committees and other groups with an interest in lumber and forestry in the region. The ledger includes a list of registered directors and members.

Sub-series consist of Directors meetings minutes from the Consolidated Red Cedar and Shingle Association of British Columbia. Material contains four ledger books of meeting minutes documenting the committee’s decisions, and includes division reports, the organizations functions and activities, and daily business.

Sub-series consists of meeting minutes that discuss films, photographs, and projects geared towards the promotion of plywood, a discussion on western softwood flooring, publications, and policy.

Sub-series contains records relating to the British Columbia Loggers Association’s Executive Council committee. Material consists of meeting minutes that outline the finances of the Executive Council include accounts payable, balance sheets, surplus, liabilities and assets.

Sub-series contains records relating to the British Columbia Lumber Manufacturers Association’s Market Committee. Material consists of meeting minutes that discusses rail prices, export conditions, freight conditions, mining timber rates, decisions on base prices, and list prices of lumber.

Series documents TRAS’ fund development activities. Files contain correspondence and other documentation with Canadian and international agencies with whom TRAS requested and/or received financial assistance from.
