Series contains correspondence, letters of acceptance, enrolment lists, diplomas, and transcripts, relating to Slaughter’s education towards a diploma from the Nursing Program of Vancouver General Hospital in 1932 and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Nursing from the University of British Columbia in 1933.

In addition to material relating to a variety of nursing concerns, the series also includes much material pertaining to Paulson's understanding of tuberculosis nursing and her work in the Vancouver Unit of the Division of Tuberculosis Control.
