Fonds consists of records documenting Philip Reid's activities as a professor and researcher from 1979 to 1993. Series include biographical information (1980-1990); correspondence (1977-1994); program development and course material (1978-1993); research, notes, and data (1959-1989); unpublished materials (1975-1992); and published material (1973-1993).

Fonds consists of a variety of materials, but the focus is on the literary works of Geoffrey Riddehough and includes drafts, manuscripts, and publications of his poetry and short stories. The fonds also contains a number of academic essays, research materials on Joseph of Exeter, and papers that Riddehough presented to various groups. There is also correspondence of both a professional and personal nature. Fonds consists of correspondence, reports, teaching materials, notes and manuscripts for speeches, and publications acquired by Kenneth Argue in his professional career, personal papers, clippings, and photographs. The photographs are of family members, and friends and colleagues from outside UBC. The materials are arranged in the following series: Publications and Speeches, Course Materials, Personal Papers, and Photographs.

The records of the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are representative of the athletics side of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. While athletics and recreation fall under the same department, in practice, they operate independently of one another. Their textual records are also physically held at separate locations. Surviving records in the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are broadly representative of the achievements of UBC athletes and teams. Far less extensive, are the types of administrative documents produced or accumulated in the course of the day-to-day business of the department. Examples of records present in the fonds include programs, historical research, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, team rosters, scoresheets, profile write-ups, yearbooks, media guides, correspondence, agendas, training schedules, coaching handbooks, travel itineraries, and ephemera.
The Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds is arranged in the following series; Athletics photographs, Athletics History, Baseball, Basketball, Athletic Events (including Big Block, Hall of Fame, and Millennium Breakfast), Cross Country Track and Field, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Ice Hockey, Media & Promotions, Assorted Sports, Other Sports (which includes Skiing, Sailing, Tennis, Gymnastics, Rowing and Wrestling), Rugby, Soccer, Swimming and Volleyball.

Fonds consists of textual, graphic and audiovisual material from Grace’s academic research on Malcolm Lowry, Sharon Pollock, Tom Thompson, the Canadian North, Canadian art, and Mina Hubbard. Series are based on individual projects, with a separate series for audiovisual materials and a final series for incoming general correspondence. Series are further sub-divided into sub-series.

The fonds consists of copies of radio scripts from Woodcock's radio broadcasts, correspondence with George Orwell and poet Lance Godwin, and examples of Woodcock's early poetry.

Fonds consists of financial statements, correspondence, itineraries, publicity material, and a scrapbook pertaining to the administration and performances of Playhouse Holiday and some of its predecessors. Fonds includes administrative materials pertaining to the Playhouse Theatre Company's Audience Development Campaign. Fonds also includes scripts of Playhouse Holiday performances.
