The fonds consist of research material on various medical and historical topics and research for several of Gibson's books and articles, including his books about UBC's first president Frank F. Wesbrook, Ramon y Cajal Sherrington, and his books New Endeavour and Old Endeavour. In addition, the fonds include manuscripts of a number of Gibson articles and speeches and chapters from some of his books, records from Woodward Health Science centre, and documents for the history of the Faculty of medicine and related to Green College UBC and Oxford. Also included are records from the Agricultural Science Fund Committee (1967-1974), School of Rehabilitation Medicine (1953-1961), Master Teaching Awards Committee (1967-1972), minutes from the Council of the Faculty of Medicine (1950-1964), materials relating to Vancouver civic politics (1970-1984), and correspondence with Sir Frederick Dainton (1980-1983), Cecil Green, and Wilder Penfield among many others.

Fonds consists of textual and audiovisual material related to David Suzuki's professional work. It includes notes and manuscripts of several of his books, including From Pebbles to Computers and Sciencescape and copies of correspondence relating to his articles published by The Globe and Mail, the Southam News Syndicate and Science Dimension in the 1980s. It also includes correspondence relating to his professional work, his broadcasting and literary career, his work in the Department of Zoology at UBC, and research materials, information and correspondence regarding various associations to which Suzuki belonged or had dealings. It also includes recordings of David Suzuki's "Discovery" and "Equinox" from 1983-1990 and video recordings of some episodes of "The Nature of Things" from 1994, and copies of his speeches from 1985-2009.

Fonds consists of textual, graphic and audiovisual material from Grace’s academic research on Malcolm Lowry, Sharon Pollock, Tom Thompson, the Canadian North, Canadian art, and Mina Hubbard. Series are based on individual projects, with a separate series for audiovisual materials and a final series for incoming general correspondence. Series are further sub-divided into sub-series.

The collection consists of twenty-two UBC Football programs collected by Bob Hindmarch from 1951-1992. The file also contains an article by Athletics Historian Fred Hume on Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip's first football game and a short biography of Dr. Bob Hindmarch.
The second box was donated separately. The greatest extent of materials includes photographs. Also included is a folder of research materials, including newspaper clippings a VHS on Thunderbirds in China, 1974. As well as a DVD of the BC Hockey Hall of Fame, 2012 and a Hall of Fame Hockey Plaque presented to Hindmarch on that occasion.

Fonds consists of administrative records pertaining to the activities of the Women’s Studies Program, the Centre for Research in Women’s Studies and Gender Relations, and research papers put out by the Centre and related bodies. Records include correspondence, minutes, annual reports, publications, course lists, student activities, program advertisements, reviews, bound publications of working papers and conference proceedings.

The fonds consists of correspondence, publication manuscripts and offprints, lecture, course notes and research files. The records offer extensive evidence of Scott's activities of teaching, research, publications and involvement with various government economic commissions. Also included are photographs (most of which are included in two scrapbooks), and a CD containing digital versions of much of Scott's written work since 1980.

Fonds consists of materials related to David Measday from his time as a graduate student at Oxford to his post-retirement work at UBC. The fonds primarily include material regarding his research, academic writings, and administrative duties at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, reports arise from various international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations with which Measday had some association. Organizational records include materials for the development of TRIUMF. There is also a small amount of teaching material from lectures and physics courses taught by Measday. Material is organized into series based on intuitional association, most of which is from Measday’s time working at UBC and TRIUMF.

Fonds consists of records documenting the history of the Volkoff family, in particular the life and career of George Volkoff. It includes manuscripts, correspondence, research notes, academic records and other official documentation, certificates, published items, photographs (black and white prints of various sizes, black and white 35mm negatives, and digital scans from original prints), memorabilia, and digital media. The records relate primarily to McDonald's professional teaching, writing and research work and, to a much lesser extent, are records about his personal life. The course teaching materials include outlines and syllabi, lecture notes, class handouts, newspaper clippings, website printouts, and other materials used to develop course content. Records relating to McDonald's writing include typescript drafts, off-prints, handwritten notes, conference papers, and correspondence. The most extensive records relate to McDonald's research. They include newspaper clippings and other published items, copies of articles annotated by McDonald's, handwritten index cards with notes and citations, correspondence, and audio recordings of interviews, music and speeches. Finally, records related to awards and recognition received include curriculum vitae, certificates, correspondence and McDonald's Killam Teaching Award from 2000.

The records of the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are representative of the athletics side of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. While athletics and recreation fall under the same department, in practice, they operate independently of one another. Their textual records are also physically held at separate locations. Surviving records in the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are broadly representative of the achievements of UBC athletes and teams. Far less extensive, are the types of administrative documents produced or accumulated in the course of the day-to-day business of the department. Examples of records present in the fonds include programs, historical research, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, team rosters, scoresheets, profile write-ups, yearbooks, media guides, correspondence, agendas, training schedules, coaching handbooks, travel itineraries, and ephemera.
