Goodman and Goodman v. Jones and Davidson
File contains: Plea. The Defendant Jones appears and takes defense to the action of Goodman and Goodman and says that he never was indebted in the manner and form as alleged in the said Declaration.
File contains: Affidavit of G. Balls. Regarding the road from Esquimalt to Victoria, erected by the government for use by the public. The stoppage of the road by obstructing the bridge with a bar across the same thereby impending the traffic along the bridge has caused much injury to the property holders on Wharf Street.
File contains: Affidavit of E. Dupuis. Captain Staples and others, owners of the steamship Pacific, are justly and truly indebted to the Plaintiff for 53 pounds, 8 shillings, for the value of certain articles delivered to the Defendants as common carriers to be delivered to him in Victoria. They have not been delivered and the Plaintiff believes that the Defendants are about to leave for San Francisco and he asks that they be apprehended.

Kraft; Judges Minutes; Statement of Facts; Affidavit of Defendant Kraft; and Bill of Complaint. The Defendants leased the Colonial Hotel in Victoria from the Plaintiffs for one year. Disagreements arose between the parties and the Plaintiff asks that Kraft stops any further construction or renovation on the Hotel while the case between them is resolved with the Defendants paying the Plaintiff for damages suffered.
File consists of two documents: Summons; Consent to Money Being Paid Out. Plaintiffs attorney to attend in Chambers to show cause why the Plaintiff should not find security for the Defendant's costs in this action.
File consists of four document: (2) Costs; Affidavit of J. Wilcox; Order. Plaintiff had erected and maintained a Hotel on Wharf Street in Victoria which did quite well, being in a location beside the harbour and near the bridge. However, the Defendants then constructed a bar across the bridge which "entirely intercepts and obstructs the transit and traffic of vehicle," they no longer travel in front of the Plaintiffs hotel and his business as Innkeeper has thereby been greatly injured as a result.
