The fonds consists of records that Harris created and received during his student and professional careers. The records document his interests in, and involvement with, Canadian, North American, and European historical geography as a researcher and as a teacher. The fonds includes correspondence, reports, memos, clippings, published material, manuscripts, publishing contracts, conference papers, reviews, grant applications, project and dissertation proposals, notes, lecture material, photographs, slides, sketches and prints. The fonds includes six series, biographical; correspondence; course material; committees; SSHRC and projects, and reflect Harris filing system.

The fonds consists of records which document Edgar Wickberg's research on Chinese land tenure systems and rural society, and the history of Chinese communities overseas. Materials include research notes, correspondence, computer printouts, newspaper and magazine clippings, photocopies of both archival documents and scholarly articles, and file cards and notes stored in file card boxes. The series are Land Tenure (divided into sub-series by region), Rural Localities in China, Chinese in Canada, Chinese in the United States, and File Cards.

The fonds consists of correspondence with American war objectors between 1968 and 1976 wherein Elrod offered advice to those wishing to migrate to Canada. Fonds includes records of the North Shore Unitarian Church Social Action Committee.

Fonds consists of textual materials which document the responsibilities and activities of the Technical Committee on the Endowment Lands, and includes correspondence, agendas and minutes, reports, and published materials.

The collection consists of a combination of materials relating to the University Endowment Lands collected and acquired over the years by the UBC Archives. It includes notes, printed material, reports, correspondence, photographs, and clippings.
