Fonds consists of records documenting the history of the Volkoff family, in particular the life and career of George Volkoff. It includes manuscripts, correspondence, research notes, academic records and other official documentation, certificates, published items, photographs (black and white prints of various sizes, black and white 35mm negatives, and digital scans from original prints), memorabilia, and digital media. The fonds is arranged in the following series: Personal – George and Olga Volkoff, Research and Reports, Published Articles, Volkoff Family History, and Photographs.

The fonds consists of field notebooks, reference materials and a forestry report written by Marchant. Of particular note to UBC is Marchant’s research in the summer of 1979 on the botany of the cliffs at Point Grey.

It also includes correspondence relating to his professional work, his broadcasting and literary career, his work in the Department of Zoology at UBC, and research materials, information and correspondence regarding various associations to which Suzuki belonged or had dealings. It also includes recordings of David Suzuki's "Discovery" and "Equinox" from 1983-1990 and video recordings of some episodes of "The Nature of Things" from 1994, and copies of his speeches from 1985-2009.

Fonds consists of materials related to David Measday from his time as a graduate student at Oxford to his post-retirement work at UBC. The fonds primarily include material regarding his research, academic writings, and administrative duties at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, reports arise from various international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations with which Measday had some association. Organizational records include materials for the development of TRIUMF. There is also a small amount of teaching material from lectures and physics courses taught by Measday. Material is organized into series based on intuitional association, most of which is from Measday’s time working at UBC and TRIUMF.

Fonds contains records relating to the research of David C. Walker. This includes photographs of electron microscope images and illustrations regarding epithelial and endothelial tri-cellular corner tight junctions. Also included are notes, drafts, reviews, and final copies of four publications: “The role of epithelial cell tight junctions in tracheal permeability,” “The reassessment of the tricellular region of epithelial cell tight junctions,” “The structure of the tricellular junctions of pulmonary capillaries,” and “Tricellular corners: preferred sites for leukocyte emigration from the pulmonary vasculature of rabbits".

Fonds consists almost entirely of materials created or acquired by John Knox over the course of his studies and professional life. The fonds is organized in the following series: Atmospheric blocking and Northern Hemisphere anomalies, Extended-Range and Analogue Forecasting, Climate Trends and Variability, Ocean Weather Station "Papa", Prairie drought ("Dry/Wet"), Cli-Red, and Miscellaneous Professional Activities.

Fonds consists of records documenting Philip Reid's activities as a professor and researcher from 1979 to 1993. Series include biographical information (1980-1990); correspondence (1977-1994); program development and course material (1978-1993); research, notes, and data (1959-1989); unpublished materials (1975-1992); and published material (1973-1993).

The fonds consist of records relating to Clemens' research and his positions with the Pacific Biological Station of the Biological Board of Canada and the University of British Columbia and material relating to the research activities of other scholars in the areas of oceanography, fisheries and zoology. Fonds has been arranged into the following series: Academic papers (1923-1963), Correspondence (1932-1962), Course materials ([1939-1952]), and Subject files (1910-1960).

The fonds consists of Smiths biographical information, speeches, correspondence, laboratory notes and research material, copies of publications, and slides and presentation materials.

The fonds consists of records from the Fraser River Model Project (1949-1962); the Vancouver Harbour and Burrard Inlet Model Project (1953-1956); materials generated in teaching and taking UBC engineering courses (1922-1972), academic materials generated outside of the UBC system, and miscellaneous engineering projects that Pretious participated in his time at UBC (1942-1977). The records have been separated into six different series. Reports and memoranda which were issued as a series have been arranged in series order, but other items were filed arbitrarily under the two projects and have been maintained this way.
