The fonds consists of sixty-three oral history tapes, card indexes, notebooks and written notes, and published materials relating to Harshenin's research into the Doukhobor language and dialect.

The records document his interests in, and involvement with, Canadian, North American, and European historical geography as a researcher and as a teacher. The fonds consists of records which document Edgar Wickberg's research on Chinese land tenure systems and rural society, and the history of Chinese communities overseas. The fonds consists of correspondence with American war objectors between 1968 and 1976 wherein Elrod offered advice to those wishing to migrate to Canada. Fonds includes records of the North Shore Unitarian Church Social Action Committee.

Fonds consists of textual materials which document the responsibilities and activities of the Technical Committee on the Endowment Lands, and includes correspondence, agendas and minutes, reports, and published materials.

The collection consists of maps and plans of the University campus and the University Endowment Lands (now Pacific Spirit Park). The collection was started by UBC Library and is now continued by the UBC Archives. The collection is arranged in several series.
