History
Peter Lee was born March 30, 1919. He was one of three children from the King LEE family of Windsor, Ontario that joined the war effort for Canada. Peter served with brothers Ben and Edward.
Peter was posted to the 24th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery in England. He later became a chemical warfare instructor.
Although Peter was promoted to the rank of sergeant, he later lost his rank due to fighting with other servicemen who mistreated him for being Chinese.
After the war, all three Lee brothers lived next door to each other in Windsor in double-wide lots they had purchased with veteran loans from the federal government.
He was married to Gwendolyn Young who passed in 1965. He remarried in 1966 to Janet Martin who passed July 24, 2016. He had no children.
Peter died in Windsor on September 21, 1992.
