History

Santo Mignosa was born in Prioli, Italy. He attended the School of Art, Syracruse, and the Institute of Fine Arts, Palermo, graduating in 1954 from the Institute of Fine Arts in Florence. He immigrated to British Columbia in 1957 where he continued teaching and sculpting. He was a student of Olea Davis' and a co-worker of Zeljko Kujundzic at the Kootenay School of Art. He taught at the University of Calgary for 20 years before retiring in British Columbia where he lives today.
