The correspondence from 1935 illustrates the business life of a professional writer; it also contains a wealth of personal correspondence that helps solidify Bullock's stature as a writer both locally and internationally. Impressive figures such as Marcel Bealu, Max Frisch, and Joy Kogawa are intermingled with less well-known artists, friends, and family in the correspondence, and provide valuable commentary, over nearly 70 years, into the creative path chosen by Bullock.

Professor Verner organized his files into three subject areas relating to his work and interests: Personal, ca. 1921-1979, Adult Education, 1940s-1978, and Cartography, 1949- 1979. This arrangement has been maintained. Files within the three series are organized into sub-series, the order reflecting as closely as could be ascertained the original order of the papers as set up by Verner. In some cases this was difficult to determine as the materials were received as separate accessions over a number of years. In most cases the files are identified as Verner labeled them.

The fonds also includes notes, articles, data and codes relating to Aberle's research into kinship and language among the Navajo, Mongols and Athapaskans, and extensive research into Navajo culture and economy. The fonds also includes correspondence on a variety of academic subjects, including Aberle's teaching materials from UBC's Department of Anthropology and Sociology. His work includes several reports written as part of the Navajo-Hopi land dispute. Fonds consists of materials related to David Measday from his time as a graduate student at Oxford to his post-retirement work at UBC. The fonds primarily include material regarding his research, academic writings, and administrative duties at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, reports arise from various international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations with which Measday had some association. Organizational records include materials for the development of TRIUMF. There is also a small amount of teaching material from lectures and physics courses taught by Measday. Material is organized into series based on intuitional association, most of which is from Measday’s time working at UBC and TRIUMF.

Collectively, these records reflect Quastelʹs various scientific roles as researcher, professor, author, and public speaker. Some records (i.e. particular correspondence and photographs) also reveal Quastelʹs personal life as husband and father.

The fonds consists of two series biographical information and Do-It-Yourself Chemistry / Home Chemistry. The former includes information about Hayward including articles, CV, copies of publications and a list of his patents. The second series consists of material relating to the development of the Do-It-Yourself Chemistry program. It includes copies of newspaper columns, list of schools visited, samples of thank you letters from students, DIYC publications, photographs showing Hayward with students in various classrooms, and cassette recordings of his CFMI radio show and other interviews.

Also included are annotated copies of Adaskin's two autobiographies: A Fiddler's World (published in 1977), and A Fiddler's Choice (1982). Some outside correspondence addressed to his wife Frances after his death is also included. The fonds consists primarily of material accumulated during a survey of Hong Kong undertaken by the Department of Geology between 1923 and 1933. It is composed of notes, maps and reports generated by Brock and his associates. There are also some papers from the files of the Department of Geology. The papers have been roughly sorted according to form. Also included are several non-UBC publications initially kept in the Brock family library.
