Scope and content
File consists of the empty envelopes found throughout Hanne’s papers. Senders include: the U.S. Department of State, Dr. Johannes Patzak, Societe Graphique in Vienna, and more. One envelope, sent from London to New York City in 1940 bears a large “Opened By Censor” sticker on one side. Hanne is the recipient of most of these envelopes, however, some are also addressed to her mother, Hedwig Herrmann.
