International Relations series

Series consists of records documenting the faculty’s relationships with business schools in other countries and its involvement in international educational programmes and includes correspondence, reports, and published materials. It is organized in alphabetical order by file title.

International Law Association series

Series consists of correspondence, reports, minutes, and draft articles documenting Bourne's involvement in the International Law Association and his interest in the issues the Association addressed. The arrangement of the files reflects Bourne's filing system.

Series consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence, photographs, reports, brochures, newsletters, printed material, and a scrapbook about the activities of International House, Vancouver, the B.C. Chapter of the International House Association and the International House Association, Inc.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers business manager's files.

This series consists of George Gee's office files from the years he spent acting as business manager for the IBEW. This series contains exhibits from the IBEW internal trial of George Gee, IBEW constitutions from 1950 and 1954, wage agreements, financial statements, correspondence, grievances, and related documents.

Internal branch business

Series consists of records related to the Vancouver GMB’s regular meetings and administrative affairs from 1982-1985 and 1988-1989. The records include minutes, financial statements and correspondence with members and the IWW’s central co-ordinating body.

Interactive/performance art

From 1971 onwards, Banana began using interactive and performance art prominently in her artistic practice. This series captures Banana’s various projects and performances. Beginning with her Town Fool activities in Victoria, Banana would often create projects which engaged audience participation. Beginning in the 1990s, she began to create large interactive projects which engaged in research-like activities, under the aegis of the Specific Research Institute. These projects often produced a large number of response forms, which can be found throughout this series, along with reports, certificates of participation, scripts for performances, working drafts and other items. Most items in this series are textual records.

Series consists of appraisals, statements, policies, correspondence, and other records concerning insurance for the Canadian Western Lumber Company, Limited. Includes records pertaining to insurance for the Company’s subsidiary companies as well.

Institutional Analysis and Planning Reports series

Series consists of correspondence, reports, statistical analysis and survey forms. The records document the study of the University both physically and intellectually (via course evaluations). Reports in Box 16 were found in remote storage and added in September 2018. Those in Boxes 17 and 18 were added in March 2021. Series arranged in chronological order.

Institute seminar records series

Series consists of notices, lists, correspondence, and other records concerning seminars offered by the Institute. Includes also some records pertaining to relevant seminars offered by the Department of Zoology and other university departments.

Institute research activities records series

The series consists of correspondence, reports, and other records relating to Institute research activities and facilities. It also includes Noman Wilimovsky’s bound volume of library zoological plates with correspondence inserted in this volume. The work is oversized and located in the UBC Archives Vault Bay 6A (88a) column 4, shelf 4.

Inspirations Series

Series consists of photocopies of Coulthard's idea book, pamphlets, and a collection of annotated, published books that influenced Coulthard in her musical compositions and lyrics.

Series consists of certificates of canned salmon examination from June-September 1938. Contains information on quantity, weight, and vacuum.

Series made by creator that contains industrial, business, and international operations records and correspondences that relate to either reduction in specified products or cost of operation reduction methods in specific areas of the company.

Industrial Operations

Series contains materials that pertain to the general operations of the Canadian Fishing Company's various locations. These materials include technical information, schematics, and manuals for fish processing machinery and correspondences that are relevant to the company's operations.

Indie Truth series

Directed by Carl Bessai, the sixty-minute arts documentary Indie Truth (2002) examines documentaries with some of the world's leading filmmakers, from cinema verit’© to the current digital revolution. Featured in the film are interviews with Barbara Kopple (Harlan County, Wild Man Blues), D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus (Don't Look Back, War Room), Allan King (A Married Couple, Warrendale), Albert Maysles (Gimme Shelter), Simcha Jacobovichi (Deadly Currents) and Peter Lynch (Project Grizzly). Additional individuals interviewed include filmmakers Kelly Anderson, Tami Gold, Sunny Yi and Susan Froemke, Lofters producer Zev Shalev, and film theorist Ray Carney. Paperny Films received "The Bronze Plaque" from the 50th Annual Columbus International Film and Video Festival for Indie Truth in 2002.

Independent Order of Good Templars

Series contains information pertaining to the Linnea Lodge No. 76 of the International Order of the Good Templars of the Province of British Columbia. Records include a roll book and constitution, a membership book, regalia, and what appears to be an account book.

Incoming letters

Series consists of incoming correspondence related to Delafield's interests in theatre, literature, and Charlotte Yonge. Series also includes a general box list of items in the Delafield fonds. The series is arranged alphabetically according to correspondent's last name.

Series consists of the income tax return records from 1965-1996 for Keith and Mollie Ralston and related documentation.

InclusionBC

Series includes records from InclusionBC, which was formerly known as the B.C. Association for Retarded Children (BCARC), B.C. Association for the Mentally Retarded (BCAMR), and B.C. Association for Community Living (BCACL). InclusionBC is a provincial organization committed to helping and advocating people with developmental disabilities to be included in all aspects of community life. They provide education and training, advocacy, and public awareness.

The records in this series cover the periods of the when the organization was known as BCAMR (1969-1989), BCACL (1989-2007), and InclusionBC (since 2007). Records in this series include publications by the organization, conference proceedings, meeting minutes, correspondence and memos, newsletters, and seminar and educational materials produced by the organization.

Immigration and Settlement

Series consists of records that provide insight into the history of immigration and settlement in Canada. The Chung collection is renowned for its extensive and unique collections on immigration and settlement, and the photographs, historical documents, and artefacts in this series illustrate the struggles and eventual successes of Chinese immigrants and their descendants in fields such as business, politics, and the arts. The predominant focus of this series is Chinese immigration and settlement, from the discovery of gold in British Columbia through the construction of the transcontinental railway, exclusionary immigration policies, and the development and growth of Chinese communities in Canada. In addition to Chinese and Asian immigration and settlement, this series also contains material related to Scottish immigration in Canada.

This series has been arranged into four subseries: Chinese immigration and settlement to Canada, the Yip Family and Yip Sang Company, the Chinese Freemasons (Cheekungtong), and Clandonald and Scottish immigration to Canada.

Images of the Land - book and exhibition research

Series consists of material related to the production of the 1984 exhibition and book "Images of the Land: Canadian Block Prints, 1919-1945," curated and written by Patricia. Material includes research notes, article summaries, and details of research done at various archives and museums.

Illustration examples

Series consists of a scrapbook of illustrations by Hughes clipped from various publications, and a Christmas poem ("The Shepherd's Gifts") illustrated by Hughes; as well as a print on linen illustrated by Hughes ("Cotton Famine Relief Committee").

IIPS Administration series

The series consists of records related to the administration, management, finances and organization of the IIPS project. Materials include correspondence, budgets, correspondence with partner and potential partner organization, committee and core group minutes, and research materials for the various committees and teams.

Series consists of correspondence, minutes, and reports arising from Dr. Larkin's involvement with the International Development Research Centre.

Ida and the Wool Smugglers-Production, Reviews and Publicity.

Series contains a contract, trade catalogues, sketches, drawings, paintings, preparatory manuscripts, correspondence, notes, clippings, research materials, reviews and royalty statements related to the production and sale of the book, <i>Ida and the Wool Smugglers</i>. Some oversized materials are housed in a separate container; please see the file list for further detail.

ICLARM / CGIAR series

Series consists of correspondence, reports, and minutes arising from Dr. Larkin's involvement with two international research organizations: the International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management (ICLARM) and the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).

Ice Hockey series

The Ice Hockey Series consists of team rosters, programs, scoresheets, and newspaper clippings. Also found in the series are scrapbooks made up of news clippings from the 1940s and 1950s and a history of UBC ice hockey by Bus Moore. Similar to the other series listed in the fonds, further ice hockey programs and statistics can be found in the Media and Promotions Series.

Hydro Tourist Lookout.

Series consists of records pertaining to the Hydro Tourist Lookout, a project completed by the Rhone & Iredale, Architects, dated circa 1963-1967, which primarily includes portfolios, project area signs, circulars, posters and photographs of the site.

Hunter Lewis series

Series consists of poetry, prose, book reviews, the text of speeches and broadcasts, newspaper clippings, editorials, lecture notes, and reports about the professional and personal activities of Hunter Lewis. In addition, the series includes notebooks written by Stella Lewis, Hunter Lewis' wife.
