Subcollection consists of two letters totaling twelve pages dated October and November 1955 addressed to Enid with one, possibly both, being signed “Mummsy.” The letters narrate the writer’s experiences in the early days of the Russian invasion of Austrian Galicia in 1914-15. The author’s family was directly on the route of the invasion and retaliation, and her account reflects details both on the ground and the political and military events of the time. Although written 40 years after the events, the letters seem remarkably clear and detailed. The letters appear to be “original” blue carbons, with some manuscript annotations both in the author’s and another’s hand.

Subcollection consists of an Oliver Townsite Map, Map of Lots South of Oliver, Map of Lots North of Oliver, and a terms of sale pamphlet prepared in advance of a land auction, March 4 and 5, 1921.
