The collection consists of materials related to Aboriginal Peoples’ land claims and forestry practices in British Columbia and worldwide. Materials include correspondence, press clippings, publications, and reports.

Gathered by a former student and colleague, Charles F. Ripley, this research collection includes three series relating to Terzaghi including; biographical materials, publications and professional reports. The reports series includes information about the British Columbia projects with which Terzaghi was involved. The research collection also includes copies of publications by Ralph B. Peck and J.D. Mollard.

Most of this collection was assembled by William Tetlow of the UBC Office of Institutional Analysis and Planning, and consists of President MacDonald’s initial proposal to the Board of Governors and Senate as well as minutes and reports arising from the work of the Committee on Higher Education (1962/63). In addition, there are also copies of numerous briefs presented by community groups from throughout the province. Also included are copies of documents related to the Report, compiled by the President’s Office and sent to Simon Fraser University to help the SFU Archives document the origins of their university, and maintained as a potentially useful historical resource.

The collection consists of the Canadian Union of Students working papers and studies sponsored by the organization and subject files dealing with issues such as Vietnam, the New Left, Social Action and assorted education topics.

The collection consists of records generated by the Canadian Officers' Training Corps (UBC) and the 196th Western Universities Battalion. Except for the Daily Orders volumes and the Air Force's annual reports, the bulk of the remaining material relates to World War I and the UBC Roll of Service. The photographs and photo albums, the albums include memorabilia and photos, depict World War II and post-war activities.

The collection consists of minutes, correspondence and reports arising from two committees on which Leonard Staley (Professor of Agricultural Mechanics) was a member, the National Committee on Agricultural Engineering and the Farm Building Standards Committee. The latter was formed in the early 1960s as a standing committee that contributed to the development of the National Building Code of Canada.

The collection documents Mark Thompson's involvement in the arbitration of labour disputes in British Columbia. It consists of published conference proceedings (1967-1979), copies of various collective agreements, arbitration and mediation case files (1973-1988), and reviews of the Employment Standards Act (1990-1996), and includes correspondence, reports, legal documents, notes, and published materials.

The collection consists of records from both the Council for Canadian Unity and the Task Force on Canadian Unity. Connaghan assembled this collection of correspondence, printed material and clippings, which date from 1975 to 1980.
