Richmond, Mary

[Photocopied Images of Etaples, France 1918]

Date reflects when original photographs were captured. File consists of four photocopied sheets containing fifteen photographs, fourteen of which were taken by Alexander at the No. 1 Canadian Hospital in Etaples, France in 1918. In addition to photographs of officers and an allied cemetery, many of the photographs depict the aftermath of four German air raids on the hospital on May 18, 1918, during which three nursing sisters and many patients and orderlies were killed. One photograph not taken by Delphine is an aerial photograph of the area.
