The fonds consists of one volume of correspondence. The volume includes 31 autographed letters to and from various correspondents, including Dr. James Lind. Bound with the letters are prints of the writers and brief biographical statements. The letters cover various topics ranging from scientific and medical topics to current events of the time and personal inquiries.

Fonds consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings and numerous reports generated between 1956 and 1961. Also included are several research papers relating to the effects of hydro-electric dams on fish populations. Many of these reports were produced by the University of British Columbia faculty, including Edgar C. Black and William S. Hoar.

This correspondence provides significant information about Spencer's research at the University as well as the study of entomology in British Columbia. Fonds includes materials pertaining to the Engineering Science Leads Committee of the B.C. Agricultural Sciences Co-ordinating Committee (BCSCC) on which Watson sat for the period 1967-1978. Composed of representatives of the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Agriculture Canada, and the UBC Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the Committee advised the Minister of Agriculture and allotted research funds for research projects within the province.

Organizational records include materials for the development of TRIUMF. There is also a small amount of teaching material from lectures and physics courses taught by Measday. Material is organized into series based on intuitional association, most of which is from Measday’s time working at UBC and TRIUMF.

Fonds consists of textual and audiovisual material related to David Suzuki's professional work. It includes notes and manuscripts of several of his books, including From Pebbles to Computers and Sciencescape and copies of correspondence relating to his articles published by The Globe and Mail, the Southam News Syndicate and Science Dimension in the 1980s. It also includes correspondence relating to his professional work, his broadcasting and literary career, his work in the Department of Zoology at UBC, and research materials, information and correspondence regarding various associations to which Suzuki belonged or had dealings. It also includes recordings of David Suzuki's "Discovery" and "Equinox" from 1983-1990 and video recordings of some episodes of "The Nature of Things" from 1994, and copies of his speeches from 1985-2009.

The collection consists of off-prints and copies of articles and reports arranged alphabetically by faculty member name.

The fonds consists of records documenting Juda Quastelʹs activities as a scientist from 1917 to 1987. Series include biographical information; correspondence; presentations and lectures; scientific research, notes, and data; written reports, published and unpublished materials; photographs, slides, glass plates, and audiovisual material. Collectively, these records reflect Quastelʹs various scientific roles as researcher, professor, author, and public speaker. Some records (i.e. particular correspondence and photographs) also reveal Quastelʹs personal life as husband and father.

The contents of the fonds pertain to the life and work of Crawford Kilian. Materials include research and planning for novels, published and unpublished manuscripts, originals of published columns, personal and professional correspondence and appointment books. The focuses of Kilian’s writing are science fiction, educational systems and teaching, cultural issues and history, the economy, the environment, and technological developments, specifically the Internet. Writing material included in this fonds ranges from the 1960’s to the 2000’s. Other included material relates to Kilian’s time spent in China as an English teacher. The type of material in the fonds is primarily handwritten and typed paper records, but also includes newspaper, compact discs and publications.

The fonds consists of an original copy of Wallich's The North Atlantic Seabed with handwritten notes, a large, handwritten biological note book, personal annotated copies of Wallich's "Original Papers" and "Contributed Papers"(1857-1865), incoming correspondence and clippings. Also included are some records belonging to G. Wallich which relate to the Dooars Planters' Association, an organization of tea growers in India.

The fonds consists of textual records, photographs (prints and Negatives), pictorial images, postcards, statistical information, and maps. All of the records reflect Moses B. Cotsworth's involvement in calendar reform and his efforts to make his 13-month calendar more widely known throughout the world. Administrative records of his International Fixed Calendar League as well as papers reflecting his interests in mathematics, astronomy and astrology are included. The records have been arranged into the following series: Correspondence and Personal Notes; Newspaper Articles; Pamphlets on Calendar Reform and Related Material; Posters and Related Material; Records Relating to Egypt (Pyramids, Sphinx); Records Relating to Stonehenge; Statistical Charts and Graphs; and Records Relating to Miscellaneous Subjects.

The first part of the collection contains letters between Haldane from his mother, Mary Elizabeth Haldane (née Burdon Sanderson) and other family members regarding familial matters. These letters range from 1883 to1926. There are other letters pertaining to Mary Elizabeth Haldane and Edinburgh professors that are in the collection as well ranging from 1887 to 1922. Haldane’s personal documents, including his birth certificate and university certificates are also in this collection, ranging between 1878 to1897.

His reports, tables and correspondences are contained within, as well as his papers and speeches. These are largely undated and concern topics such as miners’ eye problems, tuberculosis in the Navy, regulation of normal breathing, functions of sweat, kinetic theory of gases, death by suffocation and the like. According to H.M. Sinclair: “Mrs. Haldane told me that her husband destroyed his MS as soon as the paper was published, and these lectures and addresses to various societies were not published. Haldane always wrote his addresses out in full, and this collection is mainly written in full in his own hand.”

A section of the collection contains reports and correspondence of Haldane’s work with the use of gas in WWI. H.M. Sinclair states that the collection is: “A most important collection of papers relating to his and Douglas's researches in World War I when gas was first used. Included are long autograph letters from Douglas (who was in the field in France), very out spoken about the military authorities and giving full descriptions of the casualties and attempts to prevent them.”

Finally, there are 2 drafts of an unpublished book written by Haldane on vitalistic physiology. H.M. Sinclair notes that: “The first draft is copiously corrected . . . This has been entirely rewritten in nine chapters of the final draft. . . . This very interesting book was never published, but illustrates the state of physiology at the turn of the century as seen by a young graduate of about 30 years.”

Collection consists of letters addressed to Dr. Alexander Marcet, one from William Prout and the remainder from William Chas. Wells. The letters date from 1811 to 1817. The letters discuss various experiments on urine, the research of Professor Prevost on radiant heat, and Mrs. Marcet’s work on political economies.

The fonds consists of two series biographical information and Do-It-Yourself Chemistry / Home Chemistry. The former includes information about Hayward including articles, CV, copies of publications and a list of his patents. The second series consists of material relating to the development of the Do-It-Yourself Chemistry program. It includes copies of newspaper columns, list of schools visited, samples of thank you letters from students, DIYC publications, photographs showing Hayward with students in various classrooms, and cassette recordings of his CFMI radio show and other interviews.

The fonds consists primarily of material accumulated during a survey of Hong Kong undertaken by the Department of Geology between 1923 and 1933. It is composed of notes, maps and reports generated by Brock and his associates. There are also some papers from the files of the Department of Geology. The papers have been roughly sorted according to form. Also included are several non-UBC publications initially kept in the Brock family library.

The fonds consists of documentation regarding specific courses, accreditation, correspondence, surveys, interdepartmental memoranda, sample student work, and brochures. Most of the documentation originates from the office of Engineering Physics under the directorship of Prof. Edward Auld. Dr. Jon Nakame accumulated the CEAB Accreditation materials. In general, these documents reflect the Director of Engineering Physics' role and interests, and specifically Prof. Edward Auld. They underscore Engineering Physics' relationship to the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Faculty of Applied Science.
The first series consists of files that were collected and organized chronologically by Engineering Physics. Subsequent series include documentation regarding specific courses within Engineering Physics and documentation relating to the accreditation of Engineering Physics by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board during the 1990s and 2000s. There are 350 prints and 260 negatives included in the Photographs series, most of which were taken in the 1990s.

The fonds consists of an undated autobiography entitled "Things I Remember," photographs and printed material from the opening of the MacLeod Building (1964) and materials related to his receipt of the McNaughton Medal (1972) for his "pioneering achievement in electrical engineering education in Western Canada."

Some of the family members represented in the fonds are Reverend Dawson Warren, Falkland G.E. Warren, and Charlotte Jackson. The fonds also includes biographical information about Harry Warren and copies of his publications to 1978.

The fonds consist of Harrison's personal and professional materials related to his career, including correspondence, laboratory notes, teaching notes, and manuscripts. The fonds is divided into four series: Professional Life series (1966-2008); Undergraduate and Graduate Education (1941-A); Correspondence series (1973-2002), and Poetry series (1966-1968). A film is also included, entitled Asymmetry and Dissipation, or, Life is so Irreversible – listed in the Archives as UBC Film # 111.

The fonds consists of Craddock’s professional papers in the form of textual records (including correspondence, reports, minutes, course materials, interviews), published materials, technical research notes, presentation slides and reference materials. The papers primarily chronicle Craddock’s work and role at TRIUMF, particularly TRIUMF’s attempt to build a Kaon Factory particle accelerator. Many other aspects of TRUMF are documented in these papers, including- administration, various committees, workshops, published reports and research, various particle physics projects, physics reference files, and collaborations with other organizations. Craddock’s work on recording TRIUMF’s origins and history is also represented.
Outside of Craddock’s involvement with TRIUMF, other professional papers reflect his teaching career, talks, presentations, correspondence with colleagues, graduate students, and the public.
