Finally, records related to awards and recognition received include curriculum vitae, certificates, correspondence and McDonald's Killam Teaching Award from 2000.

The records of the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are representative of the athletics side of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. While athletics and recreation fall under the same department, in practice, they operate independently of one another. Their textual records are also physically held at separate locations. Surviving records in the Department of Athletics and Recreation fonds are broadly representative of the achievements of UBC athletes and teams. Far less extensive, are the types of administrative documents produced or accumulated in the course of the day-to-day business of the department. Examples of records present in the fonds include programs, historical research, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, team rosters, scoresheets, profile write-ups, yearbooks, media guides, correspondence, agendas, training schedules, coaching handbooks, travel itineraries, and ephemera.

Providing reference services for its patrons - helping them find research materials and teaching them how to use the Library - is one of the Library's core functions. In 1920 Frances Woodworth was appointed the first "Superintendant of Reading Room and Reference Librarian." Reference services expanded rapidly, and by 1937 a separate Reference Division, headed by Anne M. Smith, had been established. The Division was responsible for coordinating all reference services until 1960 when it was disbanded and its staff and services distributed among the newly-created subject divisions. There was an addition to this sous-fonds of 5 cm of textual material by Associate University Librarian, Research, Lea Starr, in January 2020.
The sous-fonds consists of the Division's monthly and annual reports and minutes of its staff meetings, bound into six volumes. Included with Associate University Librarian Lea Starr's materials is correspondence regarding the Tsilhot'in Archive, cIRcle Collections related files, Koerner Library renovations and terms of reference for the Art in the Library Task Group.

The series consists of ephemera of Keith’s father, Eugene C. Maillard. It includes correspondence, audio recordings, scrapbooks, photographs, society memberships, financial records, the final will, and other personal information. Series consists of records of a personal and/or biographical nature and includes Mattessich’s old textbooks, a copy of his dissertation from the University of Vienna, copies of his CV and publication lists, correspondence, his honorary degrees and other certificates with related documentation, a video recording of his honorary degree ceremony at the University of Malaga, other personal documents, and manuscript copies of his memoir Foundational Research In Accounting – Professional memoirs and beyond (1995, revised 2015). Fonds consists of records documenting Stephen Sheppard’s professional and academic activities while he was at UBC. They include textual records (correspondence, reports, written notes, data sets, and published materials), audio-visual recordings, photographs, and digital media. The records are arranged in the following series: Aesthetics And Sustainability (sub-series Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies, and Articles for Publication), Visual Resource Management, Multi-Criteria Analysis, Local Climate Change Visioning, and Forest Management Research (sub-series CALP UBC research publications, Local UBC studies, North Cowichan Community Forest, Clayoquot Reference Materials, and General).

Series consists of textual and digital records documenting local climate change visioning (LCCV) conducted by Sheppard and CALP in several British Columbia communities. The conferences, workshops, and information sessions focused on best practices for low-carbon and resilient community development and how those could help counteract climate change in those communities. Most of these initiatives were supported by grants from the Geoide SII (GEOmatics for Informed DEcisions Network of Centres of Excellence – Strategic Investment Initiative). Materials include reports, published sources, data, correspondence, and a PowerPoint presentation preserved on a CD.

Series consists of notebooks filled with drawings, diagrams, and written notes. These volumes and the information included in them arguably constitute the documentary core of Geoffrey Smedley’s work. They are organized into three sub-series. Numbered Notebooks consists of 35 sequentially-numbered volumes, dated 1964-1988, with notes and drawings on various topics and projects. “Descartes’ Clown” Notebooks consists of 12 volumes, sequentially numbered in Roman numerals, documenting Smedley’s Descartes’ Clown project. Other Notebooks brings together the remainder of Smedley’s notebooks covering various topics and projects.
Where the volumes are numbered, they are arranged sequentially; otherwise, they are arranged in chronological order based on dated notebook entries.

Fonds consists of records documenting Richard Mattessich’s professional career, including his writing, research, and teaching activities, as well as his personal life. The records include correspondence, reports, notes, manuscript copies of his works, copies of his publications, annotated copies of publications by others, class and teaching materials, honorary degrees and other recognition certificates, a DVD recording, and photographs. It is organized in the following series: Alphabetical Subject Files, Correspondence, Personal and Biographical, Publications, Teaching, Research Materials, and Photographs.

This series contains information and materials created to support fundraising and advertising of CiTR events and programs. It includes a large number of brochures, posters, and information about special events.

Fonds consists of records documenting the programs and activities of the Radio Society / CiTR (including DISCORDER), including textual records and sound recordings of a variety of programs, radio plays, campus events, public service announcements, photographs of the radio studio and from different events, and advertisements produced by the Radio Society for broadcast on its station (CYVR/CiTR) or affiliated radio stations. In addition, the fonds includes recordings of interviews conducted on behalf of the Alma Mater society relating to its art collection. Fonds also consists of materials related to the administration of the radio station including information about licensing, executive meetings, policies, job descriptions, and staff training.

Series includes materials related to Hunter’s various produced and unproduced television projects.

Series includes biographical information about John Hunter, including lists of awards, résumé, obituaries, early rejection letters, cartoons, and his undergraduate thesis.

Fonds consists of records documenting the administration of TRIUMF and includes Board of Management minutes and meeting dockets, committee minutes, and reports. Fonds includes sixty-one literary works dating from 1969 to 2011, including screenplays, teleplays, manuscripts of novels, and non-fiction work along with accompanying correspondence, notes, press, research, photographs, and recordings. Scripts include both produced and unproduced projects. Also included is a small collection of personal material such as drawings and biographical materials with obituaries and tributes for Hunter.

Fonds consists of records that document Kevin Chong’s education, and writing and teaching careers. The records include typewritten manuscripts, written notes, annotated proofs, correspondence, research materials, teaching materials, newspaper and magazine clippings, publications, posters, photographs, and digital recordings. The series consists of materials collected or acquired by Mattessich as part of his research and includes copies of articles written by other authors. Items in this series constitute a sample from all such materials originally acquired as part of the fonds. The criteria for retention were that the items illustrated the scope of Mattessich’s research interests, that they were filed and organized rather than left loose, and that they were annotated by Mattessich, indicating that they were read and actively contemplated during his research and writing processes.
