Contains a black and white paper print-out of one of Coupland's twitter posts (@DougCoupland) : "Orange Tic-tacs taste just like Bayer childrens' aspirin in a highly recommendable way. Ate a whole container in one 5-minute drive."

Receipt from Wordfest 2009

Contains a receipt for Coupland's $1000 author's fee for his reading from Generation A at Wordfest (October 17, 2009, Eric Harvie Theatre, Banff Centre), where Coupland was the 2009 Banff Distinguished Author.

The Armory Show 2012 promotional materials

Coupland presented a painting (“Permanent Press Landscape”, 2012, Acrylic on Canvas) at the 2012 Armory Show in Manhattan, New York, (March 8-11, 2012) at the Art Dealers Association of Canada's booth (Pier 94, booth 829). This file contains an Armory Show Map & Show Guide, an Armory Arts Week Calendar, and a booklet on Coupland's exhibition at the ADAC booth.

Two personal notes

Contains a brief note that originally accompanied an event invite (not included) forwarded to Coupland because the senders thought he might like the design (undated), and a thank you card from someone named Lynn (possibly author Lynn Coady?) thanking Coupland for his blurb, April 1, 2012.

Kinsella v. Lau et al. defendant's documents

Contains a copy of documents submitted by the defendants in the libel case launched by author W.P. Kinsella following an article written by former lover and fellow writer Evelyn Lau, entitled "Me and W.P." that appeared in Vancouver Magazine (1997). Because Coupland had guest-edited the issue of the magazine in which the article appeared, he was also named in the libel suit, along with Jim Sutherland and Telemedia Communications, Inc. Ultimately the suit was settled out of court.

Letter from Herbert H. Solway

Contains a handwritten note thanking Coupland for doing a "beautiful job of capturing Terry" Fox in his book, Terry. The brief and familiar nature of the note, and the lack of return address or envelope suggest that Coupland and Solway may have known each other.

Finalist's congratulation letter from Stephen Leacock Association

Contains a letter from Judith Rapson (Award Committee, Chair) of the Stephen Leacock Association congratulating Coupland for being a finalist for the 2007 Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour, for his novel JPod. Ultimately, Coupland did not win the award that year (Stuart McLean did).

Globe Review article about Coupland's nests

Contains a copy of the Globe And Mail's Review Section (section R), which features "Coupland's literary lunch" on R1, an article by Sarah Milroy (September 6, 2005) on Coupland's chewed nests.
