The fond consists predominantly of materials reflecting Carney's political life. Records from her years in the Official Opposition (1980-1984) and in government (1984-1988) consist of parliamentary reports, minutes from Neighbourhood Nights and correspondence from constituents. The majority of materials reflect Carney's tenure as Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources (1984-1986), and Minister of International Trade (1986-1988). For dates during the evolution of both the Atlantic and Western Accords, these records include correspondence between Carney and provincial premiers, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and provincial Ministers of Energy. Records from the FTA include a copy of the Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, correspondence with Simon Reisman, Finance Minister Michael Wilson, Mulroney, and other Cabinet Ministers. FTA materials also include correspondence and newspaper clippings from the tenth anniversary of the FTA. The records also include copious handwritten notes from Carney's participation on the Priorities and Planning Committee of the Cabinet. The fonds also includes records from State Visits of the Prince and Princess of Wales and American Vice-President George Herbert Walker Bush to Expo 86, as well as State Visits by President and Mrs. Reagan of the United States and President and Mrs. Mitterrand of France. The fonds also contains records documenting Carney's career as a Senator, including a series dedicated to the Task Force on Barriers to Women in the Public Service. Also, the records contain a series of Carney's School of Community and Regional Planning teaching materials as well as limited amounts from both her private life and her career as an economic journalist.
The 2011 accrual (Boxes 47-60) consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, personal notes, reports, photographs, tapes and videos created collected by Carney during her time as a Senator. There is also further material regarding the reception of her autobiography and material from the operations of Gemini North.

File contains copies of correspondence between the Faculty Association and the Office of the President--regarding a faculty parking fee increase--which were forwarded to Ann Hutchison.

The fonds consists of 44 separate archival series most of which are based on specific production titles. For each title there is a digital master copy of the program(s). Each production includes a set of video and audio elements, the bulk of which are original shoot tapes. In addition there is also corresponding textual material that helps provide context and background for the development of the various projects. The textual and a/v materials have been described in separate sections of the inventory. For both sets of material the numbers assigned during the original cataloguing and creation of the database have been retained and appear in square brackets [ ] as part of the descriptions to allow for cross referencing as necessary.
First donation: This donation is Paperny Film's first to an archival repository and it represents 27 of the company's indigenous proprietary titles (1996-2004) of their approximately 55 non-fiction productions (1996-2007). The collection is comprehensive in that it offers digital master copies of each of the title/series included in this donation. There are 62 original masters that include over 50 hours of recordings. There is also a DVD copy of each of the master tapes to provide easy access to the information.
The collection features over 1900 a/v elements arising from some 27 separate productions. The scope of material includes: BetacamSP, MiniDV, Digial Betacam, DVD, VHS, CDs and digital audio tapes. The majority of the collection consists of original shoot tapes. There are over 1,000 hours of video recordings featuring prominent Canadian including Mortecai Richler, Henry Morgentaler, Jimmy Pattison, and Nancy Green.
In addition to the obvious importance of providing access to full interview interviews with and about prominent Canadians, the a/v elements are also quite instructive in helping communicate an understanding of the creative process that gave rise to particular productions.
The textual material extents to approximately 5.15 metres and also includes over 13,000 photographic images. The images document the various production shoots and, in some cases, include copies of historical photographs/documents that were used in the productions.
Examples of the types of records included with the textual material include: treatments, outlines, synopses, proposals; collected research materials; correspondence relating to development, production, publicity; original interview notes and transcripts, interview schedules; scripts (and drafts), storyboards; production schedules, production reports and daily call sheets; publicity stills, negatives, transparencies and digital photographs; marketing plans, publicity packages, one-sheets, press releases and coverage; transcripts of completed shows; EDL's (edited decision list), assembly notes, tape logs; credit rolls, final credits and super lists.
Of particular interest in the textual material are a set of handwritten notebooks created by David Paperny, Audrey Mehler and others. Seventeen in total, these notebooks are in Box 1 (3,4,5,6,11,12,13,14,15); Box 4 (3,8); Box 6 (17); Box 11 (23a); and Box 12 (8).
Second donation: The second donation from Paperny Film's represents 15 of the productions (1993-2006) including the Academy Award nominated The Broadcast Tapes of Dr. Peter. The collection offers digital master copies of each of the title/series included in this donation. There are 183 original masters and a DVD copy of each to provide easy access to the
information.
The collection features over 1200 AV elements arising from 15 separate productions, some of which have several seasons associated with them. The scope of material includes: BetacamSP, MiniDV, Digital Betacam, DVC Pro, DVCAM, Betacam SX, DVD, VHS, CDs and digital audio tapes. The majority of the collection consists of original shoot tapes.
There are roughly 75 cm of textual material in the newest accession.

Topics include strike notice, collective agreement interpretation, strike fund assessment deductions, strikebreakers, union representatives and representation, bonuses, cutbacks, affiliation, relationship with the Provincial, office relocation and administration, funding cuts of the AMS Women's Office, the University Detachment of the RCMP, cooperation with other unions, and membership dues. Recipients consist of UBC officials and employees.

The sous-fonds consists of miscellaneous personal correspondence and notes regarding Dr. Slaymaker's research interests. The Miscellaneous series is the only series in the sous-fonds.

File consists of the Union Organizer's handwritten office log, dated November 3rd, 1975 to November 17, 1976. The log documents the Organizer's duties and activities, including general administration and organization, phone calls, speaking to members, preparing reports, compiling arbitration cases, office renovation, peparing for membership meetings, writing newsletter articles, recordkeeping, and constructing an office manual.

File also contains correspondence, a Civil Engineering Department list, administrative instructions, reports written by the Organizer, meeting notes, committee membership lists and terms of reference, an executive membership list, and a library loan list.

Fonds consists of departmental records from Anthropology and Sociology (1964-2000); Canadian Sociology and Anthropology Association records (1970-1979); and material relating to the Simon Fraser University dispute concerning the Department of Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology (1969-1971). Ames assembled this group of records through his participation on the C.S.A.A. team, which studied the situation. The papers also include Ames's descriptions of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Museums Association (1980-1983) and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (1967-1995). The material relating to the Shastri Institute includes records generated or collected by Ames and other members of the Institute at UBC. The names of other members are indicated in the file title. Also, the fonds contains manuscripts and drafts, records about Ames's research, courses taught by Ames, a variety of conferences and seminars, and records about Ames’ participation in several museum studies program reviews. Finally, the fonds also contain Ames' involvement with the Museum of Anthropology (MOA). Most records as Director and Acting Director of MOA are held at the MOA Archives. The fonds consists of Craddock’s professional papers in the form of textual records (including correspondence, reports, minutes, course materials, interviews), published materials, technical research notes, presentation slides and reference materials. The papers primarily chronicle Craddock’s work and role at TRIUMF, particularly TRIUMF’s attempt to build a Kaon Factory particle accelerator. Many other aspects of TRUMF are documented in these papers, including- administration, various committees, workshops, published reports and research, various particle physics projects, physics reference files, and collaborations with other organizations. Craddock’s work on recording TRIUMF’s origins and history is also represented.
Outside of Craddock’s involvement with TRIUMF, other professional papers reflect his teaching career, talks, presentations, correspondence with colleagues, graduate students, and the public.

The fonds consists of a variety of materials, but the focus is the creative writing of Bullock, in many genres. Represented in collections are prose and poetry, both published and unpublished, along with hundreds of individual works, covering not only poetry and prose poems, but academic essays, autobiographical accounts, and plays, as well as a prodigious amount of notes. The fonds also contains material relating to Bullocks work as a translator and includes a variety of genres translated into English from the original French, German, or Italian. The fonds also includes correspondence of both a professional and personal nature. The correspondence from 1935 illustrates the business life of a professional writer; it also contains a wealth of personal correspondence that helps solidify Bullock's stature as a writer both locally and internationally.
