Collection consists of materials which deal with two different subject areas of interest to Sutherland. One consists of microfilm records relating to the establishment of the Macdonald Institute, which later merged with two other colleges to form the University of Guelph. The other series consists of photocopies of records assembled by Sutherland for various research projects on the history of education.

Fonds consists of Barbara Schrodt's Ph.D. thesis and related research materials as well as publications written and collected by Schrodt.

Fonds consists of textual records documenting the programmes and activities of the Department of Pathology, and the Departmentʹs relationships with other organizations. These records include minutes, correspondence, course outlines and related materials, and reports. The records are arranged in the following series: Minutes, Department Head, Courses, Buildings and Facilities, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, and General.

The fonds consist of correspondence from 1935-1994; research from 1942-1987; published material from 1905-1996; oral history from 1983-1987; newspaper clippings from 1964-1994; and photographs from 1923-1985.

The fonds consists of Ricou's correspondence during his teaching careers at the University of Lethbridge and UBC. The fonds also includes records relating to his involvement with the Association of Canadian University Teachers of English (ACUTE), book reviews, negotiated grants, Literary History of Canada, Canada research fellowships and a summer course taught on the writings of Malcolm Lowry. The fonds also contains research information pertaining to the life and work of Canadian author Patricia Blondal.

The fonds consists of 16 audio recordings. There is a transcript for only one interview, that with Margaret Street. The file inventory is arranged by tape number with a short summary of the tape contents provided by Ann Carroll. There is also a link to a digitized copy of each interview.

The fonds consists of three series, Discontinued Awards (1979-1999), Statistical Data (1975-1992), and Active Awards (1948-1993). The latter series includes substantial records of the Mackenzie King Scholarship Programme.
